Es atgriežos virtuvē! 🍕

Jap, tas notiek.

I’ve never been a car guy who knows every brand and model, how much this or that costs, or how to fix every piece of mechanical shit that can go wrong.

I see old cars as something much more practical — most importantly as things with a soul. A special smell. A unique sound. Timeless details. Something you simply don’t get with most modern cars.

My earliest memories of cars go back to the 1990s when my dad had an old Lada Niva. Once, while taking a sharp corner, the back door suddenly opened and I literally fell out of the car. Then there was my mom’s red Volkswagen Passat which caught fire in the middle of the road while we were driving home from the countryside. I still remember how exciting the ride back home was in a fire truck with the firefighters.

So maybe it’s because of these memories that I don’t feel much emotional attraction to new cars. Sure, new is new. But most of them smell like freshly cleaned toilets with at least four screens so you don’t get too bored during the ride. Definitely there’s something special about the cars from the last century. More humane? If you know, you know. #jeepcherokeexj

🪐 @solstice.festival

I didn’t know I was missing an electronic music festival in my life until I experienced this one, 60 km north of the Arctic Circle in Finland. Probably the only festival that combines walking through magical forests full of reindeer, breathing some of the freshest air in the world, and experiencing endless sunsets — meaning you don’t see darkness for weeks.

The closest thing to this festival is our own magical @ezeraskanas — you must try it. Its on the water. by @kasparsalksnis

This is Morocco — a present to myself for getting through difficult times during this winter. The original plan was a long-distance hike through Madeira, but a surf trip with my younger brother Miks sounded much better. So we rented a car and headed to the west coast to explore and get lost in the rocky emptiness. No specific plan. Just curiosity.

The only rule I set for myself was to stay away from touristy places. To my surprise, this country feels caught between the modern technology era and old-school living. You can see someone riding a donkey down the freeway with an iPhone in his hand. For me, it’s a magical time to witness, and sharing it with my brother made it even more special.

After the first few days, I realized that I wanted to show him how freely I travel and search for unexpected situations. It’s more about saying yes to random things that feel right, and less about accepting choices or decisions that bring familiar comfort. It’s something I would have loved to experience as a young kid while traveling with my parents. Most of those trips were ski holidays in the Alps or all-inclusive hotels in places that felt warm and safe, surrounded by high fences. Less about the unknown, more about predictable steps. With that kind of travel, there are no eye-opening memories — just time spent with your parents in cool places.

“The real flex is how many lives you can positively impact.” It feels like this is what I did with my brother. While he is still in his teens and the world feels endlessly big, my task as an older brother was to open his mind and remind him that real life is still out there — playful, colorful, ancient, and slowly disappearing. Definitely something we barely see anymore in the Western world.

Maybe that’s also the reason why we missed our flight back to Riga — free airport Wi-Fi took our awareness away from the life passing by around us so fast. So don’t just sit and watch. Catch it while you can. 🐫

During my month-long trip to Portugal, something felt off the entire time. I had this lingering feeling that it would be the last time I’d see my girlfriend. Or maybe it was the near-drowning experience in the ocean with Freddy. Or perhaps it was simply exhausting all my energy moving through Lisbon while filming one of the planet’s best athletes. Nevertheless, it was truly a life-changing experience. Can’t wait to go back! Much love to os meus amigos. ❤️‍🔥🇵🇹

What an opportunity, in this very digital age, when you are asked to shoot an entire advertising campaign for one of the largest cities in Estonia with a film camera. More shoots like this, please. ✨
