2 years of relying on medical nutrition.

December 8th 2022 I was admitted to the hospital to have an NJ tube placed. I had no idea what would happen next, but I was so hopeful knowing I finally was getting the nutrition my body needed. When I got my surgical tube placed in January of 2023 I thought we had found my answer, I was nourished and felt good running feeds.

Fall of 2023 things took a change for reasons we do not know. I stopped tolerating tube feeds, and January of 2024 I was admitted to get a picc line placed in my arm to start TPN. I now have a Hickman in my chest that I am running TPN and saline through. TPN is hard on the body and unfortunately, I am having allergic reactions every time I run TPN.

I have no idea what tomorrow holds. But I do know the one who holds my future in His Hands. The only way I have gotten through any of this has been through my relationship with Jesus, He has provided me with the strength and comfort I needed to push through.

I also have been extremely blessed by my amazing support system. I have such amazing family and friends who have walked with me through this journey. Thank you to everyone who has been there for me throughout this, and for all your prayers. 🫶 by @kat.stier
