Wonderful weekend with friends who are like family 💕
Even with our busy schedules with jobs, husbands and kids, we set intentional time to get away to relax, laugh until we cry, and nap 😆
We enjoyed opening a box full of unclaimed mail (Thanks Amanda!), doing a puzzle (spot Tiffani’s super tiny 150 piece puzzle 😂), eating too much food, playing games, and watching movies. by @kat_thiel23

Going to miss my parents so much while they are traveling. It has been so great to see so much of them this summer. I think Maija is going to miss her Nana and Grandpa more than anyone! November needs to come quickly! by @kat_thiel23

I’m 20 weeks and some change today and this afternoon I have my anatomy scan. I’ll never forget the excitement I felt during Maija’s anatomy scan and how quickly that was replaced by worry and fear. At that appointment, I was referred to a maternal fetal medicine doctor who gave Maija a diagnosis that left us with a lot of unknowns. Praise God that he did a miracle in Maija and even though she was born early she was perfectly healthy. What was seen in all my scans was completely gone and genetic testing came back with zero findings.

I know that every pregnancy is different but there is a small part of me that worries that something will be revealed during today’s anatomy scan. But my God is bigger than my worries. He is bigger than my circumstances. God has proven his faithfulness and goodness to me over and over again.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times in every way. 2 Thessalonians 3:16
This has been the verse I’ve clung to this pregnancy. I’m praying that I’m filled with the supernatural peace of God and every worry and anxious thought melts away.

Family fun day!
Started with breakfast at Southside Grill and ended with a visit to the wildlife conservation center. We took Maija into the gift shop and showed her all the different stuffed animals. She didn’t seem interested in having one. Later outside she saw a kid with a stuffed animal and immediately wanted to go back into the gift shop 🤣
She picked out the fox all by herself ❤️ taken in Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center by @kat_thiel23
