Our last fun and free vacation everrrrr!

So lucky to be able to get one last little adventure to this beautiful place with my favourite person before we get completely discombobulated July 10 (ish!)
🤞 everything continues to go well and we look forward to the next set of challenges and rewards! …I think 😆👶🙈

XTERRA world championships 2025
💦☃️💩🚵‍♀️💩😳🤯💦

Surviving not thriving - level 100 😂

Mud and wet is typically great for me but not so much that we have to walk up all the trails and slip and slide down at the same speed - so obviously not the conditions I’d hoped for coming back here but another epic challenge nonetheless.
This field is so strong and I definitely didn’t have the horsepower to stay in the mix, especially with no techy riding sections for me to make up even just a little bit of time on these watt monsters 🤓

Happy to get around relatively unscathed and finishing in a respectable 23rd 🌍

Thanks @xterraplanet @xterraeurope @xterra.italy for an excellent venue and event despite unfavourable conditions the past 4 years. And to the media team for capturing these crazy conditions so well

We lucked out with a great day for short track 😍

Not sure exactly where I ended up but was able to cross the finish line feeling good (so maybe 20th ish) and hopefully was a good warm up for tomorrow!

An amazing field of competitors here as always, should be a solid battle - amongst ourselves and the conditions 👊💦☃️💩

Surviving not thriving @xterraquebec ! 🥵🫠

I mean the humidity, I just can’t even 🏃‍♀️🧟‍♀️

A few training fumbles over the past few weeks but overall have been feeling like I’ve been trending upwards this year so discouraging to feel as flat as I did.

However, persevered for a strong 6th place finish on a super challenging day

Lining up with these lovely ladies again tomorrow for the 🇨🇦 World Cup stop @xterraquebec ! 🍁❤️

Lots of rain here over the past week caused a slight bike course change …perhaps for the better! …but looking hot and sunny for tomorrow ☀️🌳

I was able to fit in a couple of excellent local events since my last XTERRA, had no time to find photos to post about them, but feeling good and happy to be here for another solid effort 🚵‍♀️💃

Big race week for all the Sunshine Coast and Sea to Sky runners!

@thecoastermarathon right here in Sechelt

The start of the BC X triathlon series at @squamishoffroadtriathlon

And some members of the Chatelech Secondary track and field team headed to provincials!

I’ll share a few of the simple rules I try to follow leading up to race weekend that hopefully no one has broken already if they’re gearing up for one of these events 😆😉

Starting with - Nothing new during race week!

🤸‍♀️ Follow your pre race resting and lighter training - although you may have a bit of extra time and nerves, now isn’t a good time to test out that yoga class, strength/mobility/injury prevention routine, or your friend’s great pre race workout

🥛🥪 Although eating enough carbohydrates is critical for high performance - definitely don’t try any new and crazy diets, foods, race fuel etc - especially on race day! 💩🙈

👟 New shoes?! Awesome!…or maybe not. If you don’t know - race day or a few days leading up to race day isn’t a great time to figure it out

Or anything else new to you that may compromise all the work you put into getting yourself to the start line!

7th in the full race in the slickest conditions I’ve raced here!
9th in the short track after losing a few spots on the run after a decent swim-bike effort in more slippery conditions ⛈️💩🙈

Happy to be feeling more back to my “usual” [albeit now 40yo 🤯] self 💃
Running and staying strong over the entire race has always been a challenge but the last couple years of hip then gnarly insertion Achilles tendinopathy injuries made things extra rough and there were a lot of moments I really didn’t think I’d able to make progress anymore
Happy to continue to put myself in these very uncomfortable situations and still feeling like I’m gaining a lot from it 💚
Looking forward to seeing all these awesome faces again in Canada for my next World Cup race! 🍁

First big trip of the year away from the Pacific Ocean and back to the sea of green here in Alabama! Will be warm and challenging as always 🌳🚵‍♀️☀️

I’ve never felt like I’ve thrived here as it’s always such a shock to the system early in the year, but that definitely hasn’t stopped me from trying 😈 Maybe some thunderstorms tomorrow to keep things interesting

No matter what it’s always something trying to keep up with this amazing international field 💃👊

Enjoyed some beautiful weather, scenery, and all the May flowers for my 4-0 bday this year 🥳☀️🌷
This bday sure snuck up quickly - feeling like I thought I would have accomplished more by now and yet knowing I have accomplished a lot.
Grateful for so many crazy experiences and all the amazing people I have met along the way 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨
Looking forward to continuing to put all my years of hard work to good use and not using age as an excuse not to go after the things I want 💃
