All Things New.

Custom illustration developed for @gcclynchburg sermon series this past spring!

We spent 6 weeks reflecting on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus as a church and how that reality springs forth new life in our everyday lives with Christ. This illustration was designed to be a reflection of the glimpses of new creation that God gives us now through His presence and the ultimate new creation still to come when everything is restored. A picture of beauty and light that can only be found in Him.

Created in April 2025 using Procreate.

Holy Week Branding & Illustrations for @gcclynchburg this past April✨

This particular series is a favorite of mine to date. The process of developing these pieces was birthed out of deep reflection on the events of Holy Week - most notably the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

It brings a new level of personal impact when you spend hours reflecting on and actually illustrating the blood that Jesus poured out. Processing through the trail that He left as He carried the cross is a somber moment. But, the joy and hope that follows in the reality of His resurrection changes everything.

Hi, friends:) It’s been a while! Life has brought a lot of change the past 6 months, and I took a break from sharing here to gain clarity on this page moving forward.

It’s so challenging to work in a creative field professionally and have those same things be your hobbies. And very honestly? I burnt myself out last year.

I could write a whole book on what I’ve been learning, but here’s the gist: There is FREEDOM found in simply being God’s child. God’s love never changes and nothing I do or don’t produce can change that. I’ve been needing to sit in that truth for a while.

With that said, I want this creative home of mine to be an overflow of that freedom. Freedom to create in all its many forms as a reflection of the Creator and sharing His beauty. Zero expectations. Zero competition. Zero posting or creating something because “I should.” But simply out of the overflow. Simply out of joy and hope and reflecting God’s light in a dark place. I’m sharing this video because it was created from such a slow and genuine space on the Blue Ridge Parkway last September. My prayer is that it brings you peace as well.

This page is going to be full of art, design, photos, yes. But maybe I’ll also post music? Cooking? Writing? More videos? The options are endless!

"What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish." Matthew 18:12-14

I initially created this handprinted piece out of inspiration of the verse stated above. Jesus - the living water - leaving the ninety-nine to go in search of the one.

However, I wanted to share this personal art piece as a reminder today of who Jesus Christ truly is in light of Good Friday. Jesus willingly died a brutal death that He did not deserve 2000 years ago so that we would not perish.

While I of course want to share my work on this page, I never want to forget to share the true reason behind why I do what I do. All for Christ, my Lord and Savior who has changed my life for eternity.

I pray that you each have a blessed Easter and remember the true reason behind why we celebrate this weekend❤️ by @katemitchell.creative

I have always been a creative at heart that loves to share stories and bring new ideas to life. This business has provided me the opportunity to partner with so many incredible people, and I am excited to continue that work in 2024!
