There are so many new faces here — so let me reintroduce myself. I’m Katey Maddux — a Kingdom builder, apostolic missionary, speaker, and coach. I help women walk in freedom, clarity, and bold obedience to God’s design — and into the spiritual authority they were always meant to carry.

I started in the fashion industry, spent three years living abroad in Europe and Asia, and eventually found my way back to Miami — where I walked away from a lucrative 10-year career in accounting because God called me out of comfort and into something completely unknown.

That obedience led me into four years of ministry school, the founding of Kingdom Business Collective — a global community for Christian women entrepreneurs and leaders to make Kingdom impact in their spheres of influence — and eventually into global missions, where I founded Mighty Warrior International, a nonprofit fighting sexual exploitation from Central Europe to East Asia.

Most recently, that journey led me to launch No Longer Bound — a transformational Christian coaching program for women ready to break free from spiritual strongholds, hear God’s voice clearly, and walk boldly in their Kingdom assignment.

I work at the intersection of business, ministry, and global mission — and I believe every woman in this generation carries a divine assignment she is called to steward.

This page exists to inspire, equip, and activate you — wherever you are in the journey.

I’m glad you’re here. 💗

😭😭😭😭 the Lord is literally so kind.

13 years ago I started going to music festivals and got heavily into the party scene. What followed was brokenness, demonic oppression, depression, a decline in my mental, physical and emotional health… it got so bad that I literally picked up and moved across the world to South Korea just to start over.

BUT GOD.

I never imagined he would send me back to the same place that he pulled me out of. But isn’t that just like him? To save us. Heal us. And then send us back to do his work and to help others get free?

Jesus saved me, healed me, and set me free and he can do the same for you! All you have to do is ask him!

Jesus, I’m sorry for all the ways I have not lived in a way that honors you. I want you to be Lord over my life! Come into my heart.

Today my friend and I are going to ultra music festival to share the gospel.

This is my 5th ultra music festival… It will be my first one completely sober 💊🍸

At first, I was feeling quite nervous and intimidated because these are the exact demons that used to torment me. I was bound in cycles of substance abuse and brokenness… but the Lord set me free!

How could I not go in freely give what I’ve been so freely given?!

You might be thinking, ‘Katey you’re a missionary you do this all the time’ — but it’s different when it’s your own home and your own friends and what used to be your own pit.

But that’s why I have to go. I have authority here because this was the exact place that I was found. These are the exact things that kept me bound.

In 2021, the Lord gave me a vision of a music festival, and everyone at the festival getting saved in an encounter by God, and the Lord said to me, ‘ I’m coming for the music festivals.’

This is totally out of my comfort zone, but how could I not go?

Would you go?

This week, my first baby, Millennial Accounting, turns 10 years old 🥹💗

If you would have told me 10 years ago, when I was lying in a hospital bed in Vietnam, doing my accounting certification online because I had gotten deathly ill and had to stop backpacking Asia and return to the States with no plan…

That 10 years later I would have built a thriving six-figure accounting firm, a speaking career, been sponsored by accounting tech companies, flown to all-expenses-paid accounting influencer retreats (yes, it’s real), sold digital products before they were even really a thing, and taught thousands of accountants how to leave the big firms and start their own businesses from home…

This fashion-loving, bubbly Barbie would have never believed you.

10 years of accounting. Of serving. Of building and creating. Of hiring and firing. Of opportunities, experiences, and favor I could have never imagined.

Yet, I think the most unexpected part of this journey wasn’t what I built.

It was what happened when I laid it all down.

In 2023, I surrendered my business to Jesus for the first time. And within months, nearly 80% of what I had built was stripped away.

And then last year, I found myself asking a question I never imagined I’d ask:

“Lord, do You want me to close the business? You can have it all.”

He had already removed so much to make space for the new… I was almost sure He’d say shut it down.

But He didn’t.

“Did I ask you to close it?”

(He’s so sarcastic with me sometimes 😂)

Today, Millennial Accounting is less than 10% of what it once was. But it’s still standing. And it’s still a vehicle He’s using.

When I come home from months on the mission field, I’ll get a random text from an old client, ‘Katey, my books are behind. Can you help me?’

And in a week, my bills are paid for the month.

And now, for Iris Kraków, the missions org I serve in Poland, I’m using those same skills to help with their finances, inventory, and operations.

What took me years to lay at His feet, He gave right back.

I don’t know what the next 10 years will bring, but I’m so grateful for the last 10.

Happy one decade to my baby 💗 And thank you Jesus. It’s all yours anyway by @kateymaddux

I will be the FIRST to tell you that I spent years celebrating Halloween. I loved dressing up, going to festivals and parties, and doing the whole thing.

It really wasn’t until a few years ago that I had the revelation and conviction that I was literally celebrating something I now believe is deeply demonic.

And once I started looking into the spiritual significance of Halloween, I couldn’t look at it the same way.

Why is this season so significant to people who practice witchcraft and engage in occult rituals?

Why are Christians so quick to dismiss the spiritual significance of something that others intentionally observe as a spiritual holiday?

I’m not saying that everyone who dresses up is trying to participate in a demonic ritual…

But I am saying that as Christians, we should be willing to ask ourselves the uncomfortable questions.

Just because something is culturally normal doesn’t mean it’s spiritually neutral.

And just because we’ve always done something doesn’t mean we should keep doing it.

For me, this wasn’t about religion or following another Christian rule.

It was about conviction. And once the Holy Spirit began opening my eyes, I couldn’t unsee it.

And as someone who spent years doing drugs, I have seen darkness firsthand—with my actual eyes—long before I ever discerned what was happening spiritually. I have dabbled in the occult, and it’s not something I want to mess around with.

I’m not interested in celebrating something that celebrates things God hates: murder, bloodshed, revenge, horror, and demonic figures. And if the message of your life is to honor God, why would you want to?

The question isn’t just whether we CAN participate in something. It’s whether we SHOULD…

“Everything is permissible”—but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible”—but not everything is constructive.

I think sometimes we focus so much on what surrender will cost us that we never consider what God might be inviting us into.

When God first nudged me to give up alcohol, I thought about what I was losing.

Fun.
Freedom.
Social experiences.
My beloved espresso martinis 😂

What I didn’t understand yet was that His invitation wasn’t only about what I was willing to give up.

It was an invitation into depth.
Into intimacy and connection.
Into greater freedom.

And maybe alcohol isn’t your thing. But there’s probably somthing...the Christian life is a constant cycle of surrender...Welcome. lol.

So what is your thing He’s inviting you to surrender?

I wonder how many of us are holding onto something because we’re convinced it gives us something we need.

Confidence.
Connection.
Belonging.
Fun.
Freedom.
Comfort.
Security.

And we’re so focused on what life might look like without it that we never stop to ask:

What if there’s something on the other side of my yes?

Maybe the thing you’re afraid will make your life smaller if you surrender it is standing between you and something deeper.

Because sometimes surrender looks like loss from this side of obedience.

And then you get to the other side and realize…

God wasn’t trying to take something from you.

He was inviting you into something better. 💕 by @kateymaddux

For most of my life, I heard “Jewish holiday” and automatically thought: that’s not really for me…I’m Christian.

But the more I actually started studying the Bible and its original context, the more I realized how strange that separation can be.

Jesus was Jewish.

The disciples were Jewish.

[For heaven’s sake…my family is Jewish lol]

Jesus celebrated the biblical feasts.

The Last Supper happened during Passover.

The Holy Spirit was poured out during Pentecost—which is Shavuot, the Feast of Weeks.

And YEARS after the resurrection, Paul was still planning his travels around Pentecost.

So no, I don’t believe Christians are commanded to observe the Jewish calendar.

But do I think we should care about it?

Yes.

Because “I don’t have to” is not the same thing as “this has nothing to do with me.”

Especially when these are days GOD established.

And I think sometimes we’re so quick to jump to the question, “Do I have to do this?”

Maybe that’s the wrong question.

Maybe the questions are:

Why did God establish it?

What was He showing His people?

What does it teach me about Jesus?

And is there something here that I’ve spent my entire Christian life overlooking simply because I called it “Jewish”?

If you didn’t grow up learning about any of this either, start where I did: open your Bible and start digging.

Leviticus 23 — God’s appointed feasts
Luke 22:7–16 — Jesus + Passover
Acts 2:1 — the Holy Spirit + Pentecost
Acts 20:16 — Paul + Pentecost
1 Corinthians 16:8 — Paul + Pentecost

We don’t have to understand everything before we start asking questions.

If the best time to learn this stuff was yesterday, the next best time is today. ✨ by @kateymaddux

#5 is the MOST importanttttt

Long before I was in missions and traveling for ministry, I traveled the world backpacking 💁🏻‍♀️ I know, it’s kind of comical to imagine ME backpacking… but in my 20s I was very adventurous 😂

1. I am a PROUD 🇺🇸 American, but I am also experienced enough to know that being American can also make you a target in certain places… this doesn’t just apply to the airport, it also is important when you are checking into a hotel- ESPECIALLY as a solo woman traveler. Use a passport cover

2. USD $$ — I definitely don’t carry a wad of cash like that lol I carry about 100 USD with me and only 20s so it’s actually really thin. But I do also have more USD in my suitcase in case I get robbed while I’m out. I recommend always splitting your cash storage into two places.

3. International License- This is more of a recent addition, but it’s actually been super helpful to have one even though I haven’t really used it very much. And it’s super easy to get one so why not

4. Yellow Fever card- only some countries require this, but especially if you’re going to Africa or Southeast Asia they require certain vaccines and this is the card you use to prove that you’ve had them. And I’m not talking about Covid. Yellow fever, MMR, etc. you never know when someone’s gonna ask you when was the last time you had a Japanese encephalitis vaccination 😂 and honestly it helps me keep track because they all have different year requirements of when you have to get them done again

5. AIRTAG EVERYTHING !! This one is honestly the most critical. It has saved me so many times. And it just keeps anxiety down because you always know where your stuff is lol

Bonus 6. A printed copy of your passport and an extra passport photo. If your passport ever gets lost or stolen, the only quick way to get a new one is if you have a printed copy of it and you go to the embassy, they will print you a new one. If you don’t have a printed copy of it, you have to apply for a new one which is a total headache and it takes longer. And don’t keep it in your passport case — the idea is to keep them in two separate places.

I never get tired of sharing this story. There are versions of me I barely recognize anymore.

Drugs. Sex. Alcohol. Success. Validation.

I thought I could achieve my way into happiness and wholeness.

But I couldn’t.

It wasn’t until I fully surrendered my life to Jesus and began to experience Him that things started to change.

My surrender to Jesus didn’t just get me “saved.”

It got me whole.

My experiences with Him have changed how I think, how I love, how I exist in the world — even the cost I’m willing to pay to be with Him, to be like Him.

Surrendering to Jesus wasn’t about a list of things I needed to stop doing or all the behaviors I needed to change.

We call that “religion.”

Instead, it was — and is — a relationship with a person who loves me so much that He says, “I love you just the way you are, but I love you too much to leave you there.” ❤️

I have experienced love, compassion, and kindness at a level I could barely fathom.

The last time I got high, His first response was, “I forgive you.”

When I continued to repeat the same toxic cycles, His response was, “I can free you.”

When I continued to battle self-hatred, eating disorders, and rejection, He came in with, “I love you, and I can heal you.”

And little by little, He changed everything.

He healed my heart — and continues to do so.
He changed how I love and treat people.
He changed the direction of my life.
He changed what I value.
He changed how I see myself.

Most importantly — He changed how I see and understand Him.

Some of it happened suddenly.

But most of it happened so slowly I didn’t even realize how much had changed until I looked back.

And I’m still changing.

Because you spend enough time with Him, and eventually you don’t just believe differently.

✨ You are different.

Because you can’t encounter Him and not change. ✨

And if you’re looking for love — maybe even in all the wrong places — I have the right place for you.

His name is Jesus.

Ask Him to show Himself to you.

I promise He will. ❤️ by @kateymaddux

Do you ever feel like you’re constantly shaken and swayed by your circumstances?

Yesterday, you felt great. Today, you’re anxious and overwhelmed. The day before, weary; before that, full of joy.

Somehow, your whole day depends on how you woke up that morning.

As someone living with chronic illness, I struggle with this.

When I wake up feeling unwell, my mental health suffers, and sometimes I stay in that funk all day. But when I feel strong and normal, I’m optimistic, adventurous, and full of joy.

So how do we stop being constantly swayed by our circumstances?

We stop standing on them.

I’ve realized that sometimes I put my faith in my own strength and abilities.

So when I wake up weary, overwhelmed, sick and tired of feeling sick and tired—when a 15-minute workout can leave me in bed for three days—the discouragement, I tell you…

That’s when I have to turn my mind back to my King.

Because if my stability comes from how I feel or what I’m capable of that day, I’m standing on something that is constantly changing.

I have 1 Peter 5:7 tattooed on my wrist for a reason:

“Cast all your anxiety upon Him, for He cares for you.”

To cast is to lay it at His feet.

When I’m anxious about everything I need to do but am too tired to do, I look to Him for peace.

Peace that says, “My circumstances don’t have to be peaceful for me to have peace.”

And when I feel hopeless about my healing, I return to the Person of hope and ask Him to fill me again with hope and faith.

Chronic illness, anxiety, and discouragement don’t define me—even on the days when it feels like they do.

Circumstances can be unstable.
Our bodies can be unstable.
Our emotions can be unstable.

But God is not.

He is stable.
He is strong.
He is unchanging.

So we have to remind ourselves not to build our stability on something that was never stable to begin with.

It’s in THAT—and in HIM—that we have to rest, stand, and put our hope.

Because standing on our emotions is not standing on a strong foundation.

But standing on Him is. by @kateymaddux

He called me.
He ran after me.
He saved me.

Over and over.
He called me back.
I ran again.
I was the prodigal.
I was the one he left the 99 to come after.

And maybe that’s you.
You’ve run so many times.
He’s not tired of running after you.
He will never get tired of chasing after you.

He just wants to hold you in his arms and tell you how much He loves you.
That you were never too far gone.
You haven’t made too many mistakes.
You haven’t done anything that’s to ‘bad’ for him to redeem.
He loves you with his whole heart ❤️

And he wants nothing more than for you to let him hold you.
Come back ❤️❤️❤️
