I was invited to speak on workforce at MRO Canada and took time out to get my winter fix at Banff, a wonderful experience. I topped off my touring with a visit to the @Hangar Aviation Museum, a gem of a resource to inspire the next generation to pursue #aviation and #aerospace careers. The conference was very informative so thank you WAMEA! by @kathryn8950

This child, aged 5, was arrested by IVE and sent to a detention center 1200 miles from home. Remember all the children taken my the Nazis to extermination camps. The comparison couldn’t be clearer. by @kathryn8950

Cold here in FL today so tea was indicated. I’m channeling last falls travels to Thailand with Butterfly pea flowers which are blue along with cookies I picked up in Singapore at the cookie museum. Yeah they saw this Cookie Monster coming and I couldn’t resist the sea salt sake peach and the strawberry kiwi cookies. by @kathryn8950

Ok, I don’t know how I scored lounge access for my ANA flight but I did and it is great place to wait when it’s 4:30 am and your flight ✈️ s 6:30 am. Plugs galore and COFFEE!!!!!!! Thank you ANA by @kathryn8950

Gardens by the Bay had a special salute to Jurassic World so I thought I’d share. It was pretty cool. Two other things about the gardens. It’s AIR CONDITIONED! And the waterfalls and the mists created a cooling affect. Since Singapore is 1 degree from the equator it was such a relief. I was going to the night tour of Singapore but dad always said leave something for next time. Next time I’ll do the iconic Marina Bay and the botanic garden’s we passed on the bus as well as the night tour and… I’ll stay in town rather in the boonies I chose to be nearer the airport for my zero dark 30 flight home tomorrow. But I think I’ll stay longer! I definitely want to come back! by @kathryn8950

My other passion besides aviation is flowers. Ever since I saw a documentary about building the Gardens by the Bay, I’ve wanted to see it in person. That’s what I did today in Singapore. Hope you like flowers as@much as I do. The “Supertrees” serve several porposes. They are a tree top garden walk, an observation tower a solar power source and the expelling heat from the greenhouses. Will post again about the special exhibition they had. I did everything but the tree top walk in the Supertree Garden but I think I was up to 20000 steps by then and atiill@had to find the Hop on Hop Off bus. Needless to say I didn’t hop off again until the end! by @kathryn8950

Okay is it weird I came to Singapore on my way home from Thailand just to see the Changi Airport waterfall? Heck no. I’m an aviation geek. But I also wanted to see the Gardens By The Bay and other sights. So stay tuned. @changiairport by @kathryn8950
