🌸Last week I hit 5 years off the sauce🌸

If you knew me in my drinking days, you’d know that this is a big deal lol I’m not gonna lie, I have some really fun and great memories drinking with friends, staying up late and being wild, though I also have many memories of really struggling with my mental health, my limits, my boundaries and a real struggle to love myself. I’m very fortunate that not drinking hasn’t been that difficult for me, but learning how to love myself, learning what naturally makes me stoked, learning what my boundaries are, how to be present and how to find and connect with with community not through drinking - that has been the struggle. It’s been really worth it though, as I’ve learned a lot about myself throughout.

Turns out I’m obsessed with crochet, still obsessed with my dog and cat lol, have found a lot of peace and adventure in exploring and being in nature and/or long walks with my dog, I can still kinda draw, I kinda enjoy exercise lol, I can still have fun at shows and with friends regardless of booze, if I put myself out there it’s always worth it, I feel more open than I’ve ever felt and I actually love myself and realize that I am worthy of love too. Shit is still hard but I can face it a lot better as this version of me and I’m so grateful for that.

Just feeling super grateful that I got to see the real doody in real life. You reminded me that it's been like 6 years and that's crazy. Evntho we talk on the phone it really is so different being in person. 😭 Missed you so much and the other rad babes of Pgh. ✨💛🖤 I needed this much appreciated last minute surprise. LOOK! @katidoody drew me!!! As a farm piggie chef!!! I feel so seen and cute and I love this so so so much!! We are working on something that this ties into. I'm so happy to be in this little community in this dusty old corner of Pittsburgh. I've interacted with so many of you guys on a daily basis it makes my heart sing!!! Today marks 1 year since this baloney boy came into my life!😻 He feels like an anchor of sorts for me and I mean that in the best of ways. He’s hilarious, curious, loyal, loving and rowdy, lol.

He’s taught me a lot in a brief amount of time, including how to be present, even in the seemingly smallest of moments. Last night we were on a walk and I happened to look up to see a shooting star and it felt so goddamn special, like it was just for us.

I’m stoked for our future together and continuing to be present for all of those moments, whether they be rowdy or wondrous✨💖✨

Happy motherfucking birthday to one of my favorite people and wonderful friend @monikajeanie !!!
