This summer has been hard. It’s been sad, for lots of reasons and for lots of people. But in between the bad times, it’s been okay. And it’s gonna be okay. In between the bad times.

Finished my first 50 miler! Thank you to everyone who supported me so that I could go after something I wasn’t totally sure I could do. @dgabiglovesyinz for making me food and driving and being the best crew/partner- ready with the snacks and drinks- setting up the cutest aid station greeting with the little Rocky pillow, @busybeingrose for sharing things they learned from doing a bunch of 50 milers (including how much better Vaseline is than body glide!) and for running/suffering in solidarity, @rebekah_j.o.y for being an incredible best friend- making banana muffins for me that saved me before and after the race even as she was super busy making a new pattern to release, caring for the kitties and whipping up the best surprise homemade banner I found in my garden today, my coworkers @clarissabvox @mightytightsqueeze & @katidoody for covering shifts so I could train and recover and @luthercosmo for always supporting the dreams of the ppl who help make brillo run, @melissa_conjack for making sure I was properly afraid of what I was about to do so that I was cautious and strategic instead of just reckless, @mobilefemme for supporting from afar and always listening to the bonkers stuff I have to say (can’t wait to see you!), my therapist for getting me in the right headspace when some regular life stuff was trying to take me down, and @tripp_andrew - before I met him I didnt even know ultra marathons existed- thank you for the best advice to make sure I fueled and hydrated properly

Just feeling super grateful that I got to see the real doody in real life. You reminded me that it's been like 6 years and that's crazy. Evntho we talk on the phone it really is so different being in person. 😭 Missed you so much and the other rad babes of Pgh. ✨💛🖤 I needed this much appreciated last minute surprise. And I also need you to move to the west coast now.

LOOK! @katidoody drew me!!! As a farm piggie chef!!! I feel so seen and cute and I love this so so so much!! We are working on something that this ties into. I'm so happy to be in this little community in this dusty old corner of Pittsburgh. I've interacted with so many of you guys on a daily basis it makes my heart sing!!! I'm happy to be on this earth with the rest if you guys. I dont know what our futures hold but I will do my part however I can.

Last ones! And I think a good way to sum up and end the year. It’s been a wild year, and I appreciate all the great people in my life (old friends and new). These are scary times, but always be grateful and remember this weird and wonderful community we have! Thanks @kellylanzendorfer for helping with the memories!
