Farewell Dolly Parton 💔 Every morning I see Dolly smiling down at me from the wall opposite our bedroom and I smile back at her. Her songs have brought me comfort and joy throughout my life. I am never happier than when I am singing along to Dolly with @jasminee.slater or with Alfy or my sisters or my friends. But more than that, she was so kind, she never judged and she never wanted to upset anybody. How sad she’s gone when we need her most. #DollyParton by @katiebryer

‘The Cycle of Love’ comes to cinemas this summer! I am bursting with excitement! This film is a love story for all of us! Telluride Film Festival was a blast! We all knew that ‘The Cycle of Love’ was pretty special but getting the opportunity to watch the film with an appreciative audience was a dream. You never really know if you’ve got it right until you watch with a crowd. We were so lucky to have that opportunity. And I was so lucky to be there with a bunch of fabulous friends, all brought together by the ball of energy and positivity that is Orlando… but more on all of them later! Photo 3. I had a dog called Max for the week. Photo 6. Find yourself an exec producer who is happy to cook vegetable soup and devilled eggs mid-festival for you ❤️!

I first met Ean Greer when I was about 16/17 when we were all marauding around Birmingham being badly behaved and having a lot of fun. He was a smiley, naughty, excitable puppy-boy and, he never did stop smiling in the coming decades.
Last week my friends Matt & Jakki sent me this photo of the time Kate Fellows, Greer & me went to Manchester to stay with them for Mardi Gras weekend. It was a weekend full of adventures… but the most memorable was when we went to a night at Granada studios, where we ran riot. At some point we were on Coronation Street… Coronation Street! I remember drinks in the Rover’s Return… and then Ean & me found ourselves exploring the aisles of Corrie’s Better Buys supermarket at high speed. We skidded into one aisle & stopped dead in our tracks. Sitting at the end of the aisle was none other than Julie Goodyear aka Bet Lynch. In my memory, she was sitting on a throne, surrounded by lots of young star-struck lads, hanging on her every word. Ean grabbed my other hand, looked me in the eye and very sincerely said, “Bryer, you have to sing to her”. In that moment he had such faith in me that I knew he was right, nodded and followed him towards Ms Lynch. He then stood in front of her and said, ‘Excuse me Julie but my mate Bryer would like to sing you a Dolly Parton song’. He then turned to me with a big grin. I stepped forward, only to see a not too impressed Julie Goodyear with one eyebrow raised. She said something like, “Well, go on then”. Greer was still grinning like a maniac, overjoyed by this turn of events. In that moment I didn’t want to let him down so I started singing the easiest Dolly song I could think of it in the moment - Love Is Like A Butterfly. I croaked and spluttered and squeaked my way through a couple of lines, and Julie stopped me with a wave of her hand and told us both to fuck off. Ean was absolutely thrilled that Bet Lynch had told us off. We literally ran out at top speed laughing our heads off. Such huge love and admiration for his friends, and a great storyteller, this sums him up. My heart goes out to Ean’s friends, family and Sue, the love of his life, who made him so, so happy. taken in Coronation Street, Weatherfield, Manchester by @katiebryer
