my life rule is: only work in places that make you gain a brilliant, bright hope for the future.

work hard, be kind, stay curious. even the small things we do can change the tide. by @katiemidd

What a magical 3 years for Arlo. SYC is something extra special- the community that the teachers and parents have is the village that is missing from the world. Arlo has grown so much through the love and support of all of these teachers and this program. Learning to communicate and problem solve through play is the work of the child, and helping facilitate that is the most important job of all.

A special thank you to Dawn, Arlo’s 2s and 4s teacher and my co-teacher this year. She believes in Arlo and she believes in me. She’s down to crawl on the floor with the kids and be at the bottom of the pile of an entire classroom of kids jumping on her. I couldn’t imagine our lives without SYC and without Dawn’s love & support. Yesterday was such a bittersweet day. I couldn’t be prouder of the 5yo that Arlo has become 😭 by @katiemidd

The Hansons have moved! We were so incredibly lucky to have this opportunity and we worked with the absolute best realtors on the planet- Dan & Michele Cleary are truly good people and really made this experience so fun and wonderful. They are the best of the best and truly care about our family- a welcome change from our past realty experiences! It’s been an insanely busy 4 months but we are so happy in our new house 😭 We are still in Columbus (we will always love and miss OTE/Franklin Park, our neighbors especially) & we’d love to host you! by @katiemidd

Tiny hands. Big feelings. Zero personal space. Proof that the most beautiful moments are usually loud and unscripted. These parents always lean into the chaos with patience and smiles, focusing on being present through it all.
Exactly as it should be.

We took a very ambitious road trip out west with my parents and the boys. Sights, adventure, company, and hiking were all 10/10 😍 The kids really were troopers, going for 3+ mile hikes in varying terrain and traveling in between parks. National Parks are the best. by @katiemidd

Had ourselves a little adventure in October! Phil, Jacob and I continue our yearly backpacking getaways, this one complete with historic flooding, lots of deer bones, one small panic about my backpack being infested by ants, meeting a turtle, and 100% Type 1 Fun.

I love these guys so much, and I will backpack through any calamity with them. 🌵🏜️🐀 taken in Superstition Mountains by @katiemidd
