There are not enough words to explain how grateful I am for this man and his presence in my life. Ten months in and he’s already willing to sleep on a hospital room couch so he can be near me while nurses and doctors try to get my pain levels managed.

When you invite your friends to a Uterus Retirement Party and they understand the assignment. 😭💜

In less than a week I will be saying goodbye to my uterus. We had a complicated run which could really only be described as physically painful—often debilitatingly so. Now she gets to rest, and so will I.

It’s not the permanent birth control I had planned on, but I’m grateful that I had already decided not to birth children. And I’m grateful for the privilege of this kind of bodily autonomy and the resources to take control of my health and do something that will make my quality of life so much better. Imagine what I can do with an entire month where I don’t have to sit on the sidelines because of pain? Now imagine what I could do with 40 years of such months! by @katiemumper

The faces of two people who were lucky enough to find each other when it seemed like life had other plans.

It’s hard to believe only 6 months have gone by since I stood on my doorstep while Sam said he liked me and I said I liked him. Grateful for every moment—both the light and the heavy—we’ve had together and looking forward to all the ones to come.

Back home again so here’s one last photo drop from our West Coast adventure.

Took Sam on his first plane ride so we could have a California adventure. I’m thoroughly enjoying watching him experience things like being above the clouds and driving the Pacific Coast Highway. I’ve done lots of solo travel over the last decade. Having him as my travel companion is even better.
