Learning how to unlearn white supremacy and settler colonialism and white evangelical Christianity. Thoughts are my own.

“Thank you, Jonathan Larson.”

Like many other theatre kids, I discovered Rent in high school, and it changed my life. I love the Tick, Tick…Boom! movie, and getting to see this cast perform Jonathan’s music that was previously unknown to me (and to most) was magical. The world is better for Jonathan Larson being in it and creating so intricately, and we are forever at a loss for all that could have developed after his death.

Katie and I joked that we only see short-lived musicals together, but I’m glad that I got to see Lempicka during its electric run on Broadway. I am rooting for Eden and Amber for the Tonys! 🎭🎨👯‍♀️

This bridge connects me to the brilliant team at @TWLOHA HQ.
When I am on the road, I often describe my job as “building bridges to hope and help”.

Today I ran a 10k for 9/10 - World Suicide Prevention Day.

I’m living for more views like this. More shuttle runs to the people I love and admire and who inspire me. More opportunities to connect more communities.

Even when you’re winded, it’s worth living for.
Even when your heart is screaming, it’s worth seeing who is on the receiving end. Even when your vision narrows, and disease lurks, and phones sit silent, and Isolation threatens to start unpacking its bags; it is worth keeping an eye on the horizon to glimpse a peek at hope.

It is all #worthlivingfor.
You are not alone. Resources are a click away at twloha.com/findhelp.

A year ago today, I found out that one of my favorite organizations had a job opening. Six weeks later, I was accepting a job offer with @twloha and preparing to move. *This* weekend I got to be a part of the biggest event yet, to benefit TWLOHA - Live. Life. Love.: A Concert for Suicide Prevention, presented by @journeys. Thanks to @robsintherain and @1075theriver, TWLOHA was able to share our message of help and hope to 9,000 people in Nashville last night and raise over $30,000. It was an incredible evening with amazing performances by @chelseacutler, @lovelytheband, @louist91, @jonbellion, @lizzobeeating + more. I met so many wonderful TWLOHA supporters who shared what last night meant to them and what TWLOHA continues to mean to them. I can’t currently hear out of my right ear (50% from standing too close to the speakers. 50% from Louis Tomlinson’s screaming fans) and I might be behind on sleep until at least 2020, but it was all worth it. What a wild weekend. Can’t wait for Live. Life. Love. 2020✨ #livelifelove
