hi, I’m Katie. the friend you text at 9pm asking what do I wear to this.

I’m a working boy mom in Houston TX. I’d say my vibe right now is Prada meets playground.

daytime is practical but chic because I am running after two little boys, not walking a runway. nighttime is classy but sassy, that’s me talking to the part of myself that still wants a moment. proof I can hold both at the same time, in the same season of life.

I am also an outfit repeater. when something works I wear it again, I do not have the bandwidth for new decisions about my clothes every single day, and neither do you. quality over quantity, high mixed with low, that’s my whole formula.

almost missed this. was mid-pickup, two boys in bed, about to toss the dinosaurs in the bin, and looked down at the heels sitting right next to them.

two little boys, a full time job, a house that never stays clean for more than nine minutes, and somewhere in the middle of all that chaos was this exact scene. the one I used to picture and didn’t know I was already building.

I almost cleaned it up before I saw it. glad I didn’t.

It was below 80 degrees and raining this morning. Technically. So no, I’m not a total psychopath for wearing this in HTX. 😝
