Today is my sweet father-in-law’s birthday. He was an amazing FIL and grandpa. We miss him everyday! It hurts the heart and mind so much but I know he is looking down on his kids and grandkids and is so proud. 💜💜 by @katiewilsondc

We did it! Set-up in his new room, met the roommates, one of the coaches and said good bye with minimal tears! He is so ready for this! #reinhardteagles by @katiewilsondc

Woke up at 5:30 AM and could not go back to sleep. If you know me that is not normal.! Definitely feeling all the emotions today. For the first time in 18 years - no kiddos off to school, no first day pics. Tomorrow is drop-off day at Reinhardt U. 😭🎉😳😭

If I was thinking, I would’ve at least gotten a picture of Mr. Wilson. by @katiewilsondc

He is in his happy place. Brought Terry home today after 6 weeks in hospital, 2 weeks rehabilitation. It should have been Kimber to bring him home as her and Judy have been through the trenches with him, but she had to go home for a week.

He is doing great and now to continue to fight the bladder cancer. Thank you for your continued prayers. by @katiewilsondc

Update on Terry: Long Post.

This is a picture of Bill from nine years ago today, the miracle morning. Bill survived pancreatic cancer. We are praying for this same miracle for Terry, only with bladder cancer. With the two chemo treatments, wrecking his body and sending him to the hospital, we need Terry surrounded by prayer and love. The doctors will need a new plan.

I called in reinforcement Thursday, I honestly thought we were loosing him. Kimber came that night. She is a bulldog, smart and just the best patient advocate. Erik and Eden were amazing, we knew Kimber needed to be here. Of course, we always need mom, so Judy is flying in today!!

As of today he is improving but we have a long way to go.

I believe the power prayer got my father-in-law through his multiple myeloma and pancreatic cancer. We had nine beautiful years with him after beating pancreatic cancer. We need more years with Terry. Those of you who know him know how kind, caring, smart and hard working he is. Thank your support.

I am attaching Erik’s post from yesterday.

Yesterday the doctors were considering putting Terry on a ventilator and moving him to the ICU, his body was failing and having trouble responding to care.
I called his good friend to come see him and as his friend left he grabbed Terry’s hand and said I am going to pray over you. As he spoke you could see and feel the bond of brotherhood they had.
This morning Kim and I walked in to his room to see him sitting up and even eating a bit, it has been 7-8 days since he has had anything solid. He was lucid and was enunciating his words it has been 12-13 days since he has been able to do so. I was overwhelmed with happiness ( he was able to FaceTime mom as well)
He does not remember the last two weeks of his situation but the one thing he did remember was his friend praying over him
Thank you to everyone that has considered Terry and please continue to do so; your thoughts and prayers fuel my family as we still have a few more rounds to go in this fight. by @katiewilsondc

Happy birthday to Mary Kelley Gelbaugh. For over 15 years, she's been my office manager, but more importantly, my friend. She has been there for so many events and life changes. Eden and Kavan were her surrogate kids before she had her own. Mary is the hardest-working woman I know - she wears so many hats and does them with all her heart, thought, and conscience. I am asking for prayers for my brother-in-law, Terry Lee Wilson. Due to finding bladder cancer in April, next Tuesday he will start chemo that will eventually lead to having his bladder removed. Please pray for cancer to leave his body, pray for his strength during this entire process and for his team of doctors. Terry is hard working, kind, loyal and a wonderful uncle, son, brother and friend. I ask for you to put him on all your prayer chains. Positive healing vibes, energy or whatever you feel is in your heart. I did ask for his permission to post this. by @katiewilsondc

Not exactly what I had in mind for this week. Intense stomach pains last night led me to the emergency room., Thanks to Erik Wilson and Dr. Matthew Mahar. Today my appendix was evicted. Months of distended stomach and other symptoms. I thought I was just gaining weight!!

I will have to say Dr. Pratt and staff were amazing (I knew several by name😉). I already feel better.

My amazing Office Girls (BFFs) stopped by for some love and now I get to lay back and enjoy a delicious cup full of low sodium chicken broth for dinner. Yummy 🤤 😞

Now if we can all say a prayer for the Wilson Family to get a break!!! Thank you!🙏🏼🙏🏼 taken in Harris Regional Hospital by @katiewilsondc

He did it! Kavan Wilson is your 5A 157lb State Champ. SMHS 2nd State Champ ever. Undefeated season at 50-0.

Also, 35 years ago Erik Wilson was a state champion, undefeated his senior.
