Hi!!!! I’m Kat — your happily divorced witchy bestie, and an Energetic Wellness Practitioner working with mostly midlife women through divorce, grief, and the big transitions nobody prepares you for.

I’m all about yoga, energy work, somatic healing, tarot, and a whole lot of permission.

Here’s what you’ll find here:

🐚Permission slips
🐚Grief that doesn’t tidy itself up
🐚Perimenopause with real life examples 😅
🐚The occasional witch shit

And a lot about the undramatic middle work— because that’s where the healing actually happens, not in the big cinematic moment we’re always looking for.

If you’ve tried the therapy, the books, the retreat, the supplements — and still don’t feel like yourself — that’s where my work comes in.

If this is your kind of thing, hit follow and let’s be friends! ✌️

Not your map — your lighthouse.

Heeeey! I’m Kat. Energetic Wellness Practioner 🧘🏻‍♀️🧜‍♀️✨
I am a wanderer, fan of fancy world travel, yoga and somatic practitioner, Reiki Master, intuitive, professional tarot reader and teacher, dog mom to Mika, ocean lover, and feeler of all things. I exist between spaces and work with the spirits and energies that exist all around - and within us.

With a deep curiosity of inner worlds, I have followed my path of empathic healing to help (mostly) women find joy in their bodies and lives through breath, movement, self-awareness and compassion.

Suffering from C-PTSD, anxiety and other health issues including Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and adrenal fatigue, I began exploring holistic medicine including Ayurveda and alternate forms of therapy such as EMDR to understand what was happening to my mind, body, and spirit.

This type of medicine in conjunction with yoga helped me move forward after my divorce by clearing my mind, giving me the space to begin healing, and start listening to the voice within - completely changing everything, leading me to my path of teaching.

While during the difficult time of witnessing the declining health, progressing illness and eventual passing of my dad, with whom I was very close (during a global pandemic, no less,) my shamanic, somatic and restorative practices were key to my grounding and survival.

My hope is to share these practices and help light the path for others, wherever they might be on their journey.

If this sounds like your vibe and you’ve tried just about everything else, let’s chat! DM me and say hi!

Falling apart and rebuilding can look exactly the same from the outside.

After my first marriage, people watched me like I was about to shatter.

I may have looked like a mess, but I was putting myself back together.

Publicly, in bad airport lighting, with baggage.

I didn’t know it at the time, but the traveling was what let me do it.

I got to move through the messy middle with fresh perspective and real curiosity about my ever-changing surroundings, without having to be where the trauma happened.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is remove yourself.

The glow up isn’t always about something new you’re doing.

Sometimes it’s about what you’re no longer standing in: a toxic, exhausting situation that keeps you in a state of almost constant stress.

And when you’ve been in constant stress long enough, you stop noticing the weight.

It just becomes how you carry yourself.

You don’t feel how heavy it was until you finally set it down.

Some you carry. Some you get to set down. And some are too heavy to lift alone.

Nobody gets a medal for lifting the heavy ones by themselves.

That’s what Homecoming is: 6 months of VIP 1:1 spiritual mentorship with me.

I’ll hold the space while you put yourself back together at your own pace, in whatever order the pieces come.

But you don’t have to figure out all six months today.

Start with one piece.

Book a free 30-minute Dissolve the Overwhelm call with me.

We’ll sort through your massive to-do list, get clear on your top 3-5 priorities, and figure out what’s actually yours to carry and what you get to set down.

It’s also where we see if Homecoming is your next step.

DM me DISSOLVE and I’ll send you the link.

In late March 2017, I called my sister (yes, the same sister who said I always have a choice. See Agency post!) wondering if it was ridiculous to spend about $1000 on a writing class with @themarthabeck

I was having a hard time with spending the money but once I reframed it and reminded myself that I am a Sephora VIB Rouge member (meaning I spend at least $1000 a year on my beauty products), I knew there was no question.

The class began in April and went for a couple months. I knew I would be traveling through Europe and Asia during that time so it was perfect that it was a telecourse series.

A huge draw was the guest teacher, @elizabeth_gilbert_writer (Eat, Pray, Love!!!!)

I spent time writing about magic in Spain, mind fucks in the Philippines, these poems became a safe place to explore my feelings and thoughts.

They allowed me to channel all the woes, suffering, delight and awakenings I had been witness to.

At the end of the course, many of us were inspired to keep up the work and community. We published an anthology! 🤯🤯🤯

And now almost 10 years later I think about how easy it is for us to spend on things that affect our outward appearance clothes, makeup, etc and why it’s so hard to spend on something internally just for yourself.

This is exactly the kind of thing we work on inside HOMECOMING: my 6-month 1:1 spiritual mentorship for the newly divorced millennial woman.

If you’re curious, the next step is to book a free 30-minutes Dissolve the Overwhelm call.

Just buy the damn ring!!! 💍

Shit you probably paid for your original one anyway….

I was talking with a client today and the ring came up (dun dun DUN). How she had paid for it and then been paid back. We joked that she may as well chuck it in the ocean as offering as that would be worth more than it’s actually worth 🤣🤣🤣

She mentioned going to a family reunion where her religious auntie was trying to take a peek at her ringless finger.

When I mentioned that it didn’t have to be ringless, she said “Omg Kat I was just thinking about buying one.” And went on to describe the beautiful 4ct emerald cut solitaire — the original ring she wanted (and did not get) 😒

Yes yes yes!

My point here is, your ring is nobody’s business but yours.

If you decide to sell it, great.

Toss into the ocean as a statement, amazing.

And if you decide to buy yourself the ring you’ve always wanted. YES!

Why wait for anybody else to buy you that ring. Just do it! In fact, buy more than one. I have 🤭
(SWIPE to see!)

Like everything else you’ve been waiting on, just jump in.

For years I thought I was bad at rest.

Turns out I was never actually resting. I was lying down while staying alert.

I learned that as a kid, and my first marriage gave the pattern a second go — even a decade past the divorce, my body never fully relaxed in sleep. (Thank God for Yoga Nidra!)

And now there’s perimenopause and everything is even more amplified.

Old vigilance and new chemistry — a dangerous concoction.

Who knew that old vigilance and perimenopause do the same thing to your nervous system.

They keep the guard on duty.

And a body standing watch cannot repair, no matter how early you go to bed.

What we know from recent research:

* Cortisol runs low in the morning and high at night for symptomatic perimenopausal women.
* Up to 60% of us wake in the middle of the night.
* Sleep loss cranks up the brain’s alarm system while the part that calms you down diminishes — which means the exhaustion is real, the 3am wake-ups are chemistry, and the rage was not your personality.

You didn’t sleep next to him. You stood watch.

Rest isn’t something you earn or that should be negotiated.

It’s your divine birthright — and your body’s been waiting for you to claim it.

You don’t need another sign. This is it.

What people call villain era is really your nervous system finally being prioritized.

I love the name, and I know it’s a joke.

A funny name for something that isn’t funny at all — but sometimes humor is the only way through.

Here’s what’s actually happening in this situation:

You spent years reading the room before you entered it.

Tracking someone’s mood from the sound of their footsteps.

Saying yes before you’d finished deciding.

That wasn’t a personality.

It was vigilance, and that vigilance has cost you— your body has runwith a low hum of threat for years and others call you easygoing.

Then one day you stop.

You say “No.” Period.

Because No. Is a complete sentence.

You no longer supply a paragraph of explanation.

You don’t fill the silence.

And the people who got used to you being available experience that as an attack.

Offended, they call you difficult, cold, selfish, changed.

Villain era.

But nothing villainous has happened. In fact, quite the opposite.

You’ve just stopped spending your body’s resources managing everyone else’s comfort.

This is the part nobody says out loud: healing can be lonely.

You lose people.

Some relationships were only built on your availability and they don’t survive you having needs.

It’s a real loss to grieve, and it’s still the right decision.

I don’t think you’re in your villain era.

I think you’re finally off duty and doing you.

I almost didn’t make this class.

Because the honest version of what I do is not a very good advertisement.

I can’t promise you’ll feel better by Tuesday.

I’m not going to hand you a morning routine.

And I’m definitely not going to tell you this gets easier if you just stay positive about it…

What I can tell you is why your body is doing what it’s doing.

Why the exhaustion doesn’t respond to sleep.

Why you can be completely done with the marriage and still not be done with what it left in you.

Some of you will read that and think: FINALLY 😮‍💨

And some of you want might want something gentler, and I really hope you find it.

Swipe to see which one you are 🖤🖤🖤

Ten yeses within 5 days.

One birthday (happiest of birthdays to our lovely @npbanks )

And less than 24 hours (for most)

Nobody needed convincing. They just needed a reason and a date.

I think about this a lot, because after my divorce the loneliest part wasn’t being alone — it was being places and with people where I couldn’t speak or act in my truth. Where I had to keep it light, keep it fine, keep it manageable for everyone else.

Finding people you don’t have to explain yourself to changes everything.

Not people who fix it.

People who get it, who’ve been somewhere similar, who don’t flinch when you say what’s really going on.

There’s a kind of magic that only happens in person. With your people.

Go find your people. Book that trip. Take that class.

Swipe for the E in my WATER method.

And come sit with me Sunday 9/27 — Witchy, Wealthy & Wise. Free, live online, 2pm PT.

I caught myself in the mirror last week after a night of clubbing with 30 year olds at @omnianightclub and wondered when this happened…. Dry. Crepey. Thin. (My skin, not body, which was bloated 😵‍💫)

Lines that were definitely NOT there last spring.

A face that used to bounce back, now just… considers it. With assistance!!! 🙄

So of course I had to figure it out. Turns out my face isn’t being dramatic. It’s being physiological.

💀 Your skin is the largest organ. It has estrogen receptors. It’s been listening to your hormones this whole time.

💀 Estrogen builds collagen and holds water. Progesterone hydrates from underneath. Testosterone runs oil production.

💀 In perimenopause all three are leaving or wildly misbehaving at once.

💀 Collagen loss speeds up to 1–2% a year. Normal aging runs about 1%.

💀 And estrogen doesn’t decline politely — it spikes and crashes. So your skin cycles between dry, reactive, and fine again.

Which is why it doesn’t feel like aging.

It feels like being betrayed by your own face.

Perimenopause causes more dramatic skin change than any life stage except puberty. But in puberty it’s expected. Talked about. Everyone knows it’s coming and there’s a whole aisle for it.

Nobody warned us about this one. Keep those zit patches on hand ladies!

If this and all the other things are stressing you out, come sit with me Sunday 9/27 — Witchy, Wealthy & Wise.
