POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This is Gwendolyn the mermaid, House of Water’s mascot. In our emblem, she holds a candle—a simple image that says a lot about who we are. Water and flame don’t usually belong together, but in our work, they do. For us, it’s a reminder that stories can be both fluid and bright: able to shift shape, move between mediums, and still shine with a clear point of view. Water takes on many forms—ice, liquid, vapor—but remains the same at its core. That’s how we think about storytelling. Whether a project lives in film, TV, audio, theater, or books, we let it take the form it needs. And the candle speaks to the other half of our job—bringing warmth, clarity, and a bit of discovery to everything we make. Together, Gwendolyn captures what House of Water is built on: stories that can flow anywhere, and a steady light to guide the way.

Thank you @manthestudio for helping bringing Gwen to life! by @katiohearn

Had the best time chatting cats & toxoplasmosis on the 🆕 podcast @dirtystinkybeautiful . Natalie Wheeler is not only a dear friend, amazing journalist, and compelling host… she’s also the reason I’m reluctantly becoming a cat lady! Doc & Donny, the foster cats featured in this episode, are avail for adoption- so please be in touch if you have a place in your home/heart for these lovely little bros! 🐈‍⬛

Check out this episode wherever you listen to podcasts or watch on YouTube for maximum kitten footage. Also huge thanks to @7equis & their wonderful team for a fun afternoon! by @katiohearn

It’s been a week since putting Pretty Fat up! (Well 8 days… but when have I ever been on time for anything?) Huge thank you to everyone who helped this show come together @mimi.vonschack @annabezahler @ucbtla @trickboston @garrettmendez ! This show is ever evolving and growing and I can’t wait to do it again soon. If you’d have told me 10 years ago I would be doing a solo musical comedy about my body image I would have been like “please 5150 me bc I must be insane.” But turns out when you have a supportive community, years of therapy, and have been doing musical comedy for as long as I have (🚬), performing a show about your own insecurities is actually pretty inevitable. And when you have someone who believes in you and champions your ideas (silly as they are) like Mimi… how could you not want to keep doing it?

Thank you to everyone who has supported this “Revival” (lol I can’t). I’m officially not exhausted and I’m finally ready to drink some Diet Coke again. (Okay lol fine already had 2 today.) love you ❤️ by @katiohearn
