POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This February marked THREE YEARS OF CRC TEEN PEOGRAMS & AMPLIFY!!!! And we celebrated with friends, chosen family, alums & special guests for an entire day filled with music, weird games, art, laughter & joy💖✨

Our bestie @transdjenter from @beautifulfreaksonline pulled up with vinyls and shirts for our young folks and jammed & connected with our crew for the entire day, hearing their experience as a young musician and watching them now be that same advocate they had for the next generation is truly inspiring✨

Jesse and FD from @plashband pulled up and jammed, and shared space with our crew and they are seriously some of the nicest folks around, even brought some Plash goodies for the teens💖✨ SOOO stoked to have the full crew up here this Saturday!!!

Our besties @shalyn_sees & @katisomphotos were there to do art, share stories, connect with our community and EVEN saved Spiderman from a wardrobe malfunction. They also did the greatest round of three headed expert with Leila I have ever bore witness to😭😅✨

The legendary @downtownkate & @missingrecords drop up to do a meet and greet with your young folks and share stories of how the Old Redmond Fire House & @veraproject got started. These two are HUGE inspirations for us and we’re really greatful to be connected with them💖

@leila.irene and I are ridiculously honored and greatful to be doing this work among so many rad and inspiring folks. Thank you all for showing up time and time again for our community and sharing moments of joy with us. It means the world💖✨Wanna know how we got started three years ago? Come to a show, we’d be stoked to sit and share💖✨

What a year 2025 was for AMPLIFY!!!

7 DIY Stanwood shows✨
Amplify Showcase at NW Folklife✨
1 DIY Music Festival Centered Around Accessibility, Community, & Belonging✨
9 Youth Bands✨
13 Visiting Seattle Bands✨
5 Photographers Capturing Every Moment✨
1 Dedicated Crew Of Guests & Volunteers helping make it all happen✨
2 Staff Crazy Enough To Try & Pull This All Off✨

AMPLIFY is a strengths based program that connects teens with the power of music and art through a social-emotional lens. Youth form bands, write, record, and perform their own music as well as work within various styles of art while being connected to local musicians and makers. It is wholly and completely inspired by the youth we serve, and it is one of the greatest adventures I have ever been on🙏🏻✨ I never could have imagined we’d be where we are at alongside so many people we look up to and are proud to call friends. Thank YOU for being along for the ride.

It is also just one of the many things we do in our afterschool teen program at the CRC✨

We believe in JOY as an act of resistance.
We believe that we are stronger together.
We believe in the power of service & gratitude.
We believe that music, making & art build bridges.
We believe there is HOPE for a better tomorrow.

We also wholeheartedly believe that we could not do this without the circle of support we have from the Seattle Music Community. The shows we host give our teens a chance to interact with heroes and local legends we all look up to admire. I can not emphasize enough how much that means to all of us.

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!💖💖💖

Here’s some of my favorite photos and memories from this year.
I’ve aged again making it to 31. This year flew by, with how much seemed to have happened in it. A lot of good and bad. Thanks for another year!
See you next year! by @katisomphotos

Last post for my birthday show.
@ponyboywa @luckydime.wa
PonyBoy was the first to enter the bill when the prep for the show started, pushing me to finalize the plans for a show I didn’t know would actually happen this year. I’m grateful for them and everyone who helped me this year. Without this community I wouldn’t have birthday shows or so many wonderful friends.

It was J Graves first show at Lucky Dime on Saturday and my first time meeting this amazing artist from Portland. They brought so much energy and kindness into the space. I’m so glad they came all the way up to perform for my birthday show and I cannot wait to see them live again. taken in Lucky Dime by @katisomphotos

Meeting the YAKI boys at Lucky Dime two years ago made my life better. They’ve been amazing friends to me since then and I really appreciate them being the opener for my birthday show this year.
They put in so much work for this show but they always go above and beyond for every show they perform.
