Hello gorgeous ☀️
Coach Kat here💖

I’m the Founder & CEO of Kat International Wellness.

My my mission is to inspire, motivate, and empower women who are struggling with the mental and physical effects of hormonal imbalances, thyroid issues, PCOS, perimenopause, and stubborn weight gain by implementing proven custom strategies & accountability touchpoints that actually fit your hormones and your lifestyle 🫶🏼

For over 15 years, I personally struggled with hypothyroidism.

My doctors told me the weight gain was “inevitable”…
and that my symptoms would “never fully go away.”
I had every symptom:
fatigue, brain fog, low confidence, recurring UTIs, depression, heavy, painful periods, inflammation, weight gain, inability to lose weight, joint pain, cravings, hair loss, mood swings…
and honestly? I didn’t recognize myself anymore 😫

So one day I decided: enough is enough.

Through trial and error… sweat and tears… deep research… consistency… and becoming absolutely obsessed with learning about thyroid & hormone health, I was able to take control back, feel like myself again, and rebuild my lifestyle from the inside out.

And let me be VERY clear:
Hormonal balance is so much more than “clean eating,” HIIT workouts, and one pill a day.
If that worked… none of us would be struggling.

YES, it is possible to feel amazing & to thrive with hypothyroidism & other hormonal imbalances‼️

My clients and I have proved that, again and again 💖

If you’re struggling, are feeling stuck… exhausted… inflamed… or you’ve been told “this is just how it is” I want you to know:
You are NOT broken.
You are NOT lazy.

You just need the right plan for your hormones.

If you’re ready to level up your mindset, nutrition, training, and finally have real accountability from a coach who is 110% invested in your success…

Send me a DM with the word “READY” 💌

And let’s take your power back👑🦋 taken in Toronto Canada by @katostroumova

19 YEARS LATER… AND WOMEN ARE STILL BEING TOLD THE SAME FUCKING THINGS.

I was 19 years old when my own hypothyroidism journey began.
I’m 38 now.

And reading the hundreds of comments and DMs underneath my reel has honestly been heartbreaking 💔

Women from Canada.
The U.S.
The UK.
Australia.
India.
Russia.
All over the world.

Different women. Different doctors. Different healthcare systems.
Yet somehow, the stories sound almost identical.

“My labs are normal.”
“Just lose weight.”
“It’s stress.”
“You’re fine.”

Meanwhile, these women are dealing with exhaustion, unexplained weight changes, hair loss, brain fog, puffiness, cold intolerance, mood changes and that horrible feeling of knowing something is wrong in your own body, but not feeling heard.

And what makes me angry?

I was hearing the same things 19 years ago.
NINETEEN YEARS.
And here we fucking are.
That is unacceptable.

Women with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s deserve more than a reference range and a five-minute conversation.

We deserve to be listened to.
We deserve education about our thyroid health.
We deserve conversations about our symptoms.
We deserve to understand our options.

And we deserve support that looks at the WHOLE woman, not just one number on a piece of paper.

This is personal for me.

I know what it feels like to not recognize your own body.
I know what it feels like to wonder why you’re doing everything “right” and still feel terrible.

And it’s exactly why helping women navigate their hormonal and thyroid health became part of my life’s work.

But now I want to hear YOUR story.
👇 How long did it take for someone to listen to you?
👇 What symptoms were dismissed?
👇 What were you told when you knew something wasn’t right?

Tell me in the comments. I genuinely want women to see how many of us have experienced this.

And if you’re currently struggling with hypothyroidism and you want support, comment THYROID below or DM me “THYROID.”🦋 by @katostroumova

POV: your thyroid labs came back “normal”… but you still feel like you’ve been hit by a truck. 🫠

Exhausted. Puffy. Brain fog. Hair shedding. Cold all the time. Struggling with your weight. Zero motivation.

And somehow you’re being told, “Everything looks fine.”

Here’s what I want more women with hypothyroidism to understand:

A lab result falling inside a reference range doesn’t automatically explain why you’re still experiencing symptoms, and it doesn’t mean you should stop asking questions.

Your thyroid health is bigger than ONE number.

Your symptoms, medication, nutrition, iron and B12 status, sleep, stress, recovery, movement and overall health can all be pieces of the puzzle.

I know how defeating it feels to be told you’re “fine” when you know you don’t feel like yourself.

That’s exactly why I made it my mission to help women with hypothyroidism feel informed, empowered and supported instead of dismissed.

If this reel made you laugh because it’s painfully accurate… SHARE it with the woman who will immediately understand😂

And if you’re ready finally start taking control of your thyroid health:

“Just lose weight.”
Meanwhile… hypothyroidism is one of the reasons losing weight can feel so damn hard. 😭😂

If you have hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s, you KNOW this conversation.

You’re exhausted.
You’re puffy.
Your metabolism feels different.
You’re training.
You’re watching what you eat.
And somehow the advice is still… “lose weight.”

Yes, weight management can absolutely be part of supporting your overall health, but hypothyroidism isn’t simply a willpower problem.

When thyroid function isn’t well managed, symptoms like fatigue, fluid retention and changes in metabolism can make the process feel significantly harder.

And that’s why I’m so passionate about helping women stop blaming themselves and start looking at the whole picture: thyroid care, nutrition, strength training, movement, recovery, sleep, stress and sustainable habits.

Because you don’t need another person telling you to “try harder.”

You need a strategy that actually considers what your body is going through 🤗

😂 Send this to your thyroid bestie who will immediately understand.
🔖 Save it for the next time someone tells you to “just lose weight.”

And if you’re struggling with hypothyroidism and want support:

This conversation is so close to my heart because I know what it feels like to struggle with thyroid symptoms and feel like no one truly understands what your body is going through🦋

Hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, hyperthyroidism, thyroid imbalances, weight resistance, puffiness, fatigue, brain fog, hair loss, mood changes, inflammation… these symptoms are real, and they impact women every single day.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to share simple swaps, realistic tips, that can support thyroid health, because small changes really can make a big difference when you’re consistent and properly supported💛

Thank you to Breakfast Television for recognizing the importance of raising awareness around thyroid health in Canada and giving me the platform to have this conversation🙏🏼

And to every woman watching this who feels like her body has been working against her:
You are not crazy.
You are not lazy.
Your body is not broken.
Your body is communicating with you.

The right support, education, nutrition, movement, and lifestyle changes can change everything❤️‍🩹

Watch the full segment and share this with a woman who needs to hear this today 🤗

Women are praised for how much they can carry.
Their families.
Their careers.
Their homes.
Their grief.
Everyone else’s needs.

But no one talks enough about what happens when a woman spends so long being strong for everyone else that she forgets she is also someone worth caring for.

That is what makes my mom’s transformation so meaningful to me.
It wasn’t only about losing 15 pounds or beginning to exercise for the first time.
It was about watching a woman who had devoted so much of herself to others begin choosing herself again, without guilt.

Not through punishment.
Not by chasing her younger body.
Not by pretending menopause wasn’t happening.

She started honouring the body carrying her into this next chapter.

And that is the reminder I want every woman to hear:
You are allowed to care deeply for the people you love without abandoning yourself in the process.
You are allowed to need support.
You are allowed to begin again at any age.
And taking care of yourself doesn’t make you selfish, it reminds you that your life matters too. 💖

Save this for the woman who always puts herself last, and share it with someone who deserves to come home to herself🫶🏼

If you’re waiting for hot flashes to tell you you’re in perimenopause… you may be missing the earlier signs👀

Perimenopause can begin years before menopause, and for many women the first changes look a lot less obvious:

Brain fog.
Poor sleep.
Mood changes.
Headaches.
Lower energy.
Changes in your cycle.
Weight becoming harder to manage.
Workouts suddenly feeling harder to recover from.

And no, you do not need to just “push harder,” eat less, or accept feeling terrible because you’re getting older.

This stage of life is often a signal to start working with your body differently.

That can mean:
✨ Tracking your cycle, sleep, mood, energy & symptoms, not relying on one lab result alone
💪 Prioritizing progressive strength training to protect muscle, bone & metabolic health
🚶‍♀️ Moving consistently without believing every workout needs to destroy you
🥩 Eating enough protein and paying attention to nutrients like calcium, vitamin D, fibre, iron, B12 & magnesium based on your individual needs
😴 Taking sleep, stress management & recovery seriously
🩺 Having conversations with a menopause-informed healthcare provider about the options available to you

Your body isn’t suddenly “failing you.”
It may simply be asking for a different strategy than the one that worked in your 20s.

And the sooner women understand what perimenopause symptoms can actually look like, the sooner we can stop dismissing them as “just stress,” “just aging,” or “just needing more discipline.”

SAVE this post so you can come back to it when something starts feeling different.

SHARE it with a woman in her 30s or 40s who needs to know this BEFORE she’s in the thick of it.

And tell me in the comments: what perimenopause symptom surprised you the most?👇🏼 by @katostroumova

My biggest transformation had nothing to do with the weight I lost 🦋

It was the moment I stopped abandoning myself to keep everyone else comfortable.

For years, I thought growth meant doing more, trying harder, explaining myself better, giving another chance, being more understanding.

But the strongest version of me wasn’t built by pushing harder.
She was built when I started showing up for myself.
When I learned that boundaries are not selfish.
That “no” is a complete sentence.
That protecting my peace doesn’t require everyone else’s approval.
That I don’t have to over-explain what I need.
And that self-respect sometimes means being willing to disappoint other people instead of constantly disappointing yourself.

Yes, my body changed.

But my mindset changed even more.

I became more disciplined.
More confident.
More selective about where my energy goes.
More willing to walk away from what doesn’t align.
And far more empowered to choose myself.

And this is something I teach my clients too.

Because true wellness isn’t just nutrition, workouts, hormones or a number on the scale.

It’s learning to advocate for yourself.
To create boundaries.
To stop people-pleasing.
To protect your energy.
To keep the promises you make to yourself.
And to become a woman who trusts herself enough to make decisions that support the life she actually wants.

Your physical transformation can be powerful.
But the mindset transformation that happens when you finally realize your worth?

That changes everything ✨

Save this for the next time you feel guilty for setting a boundary. And send it to a woman who is learning to choose herself, too🫶🏼 by @katostroumova

Consider this your permission slip to become deeply inconvenient 👑

Inconvenient to anyone who benefited from you being exhausted.
Overcommitted.
Underfed.
Quiet.
Apologetic.
Always available.
Always putting yourself last.

Because taking care of yourself will inconvenience people.
Setting boundaries will inconvenience people.
Prioritizing your health will inconvenience people.
Saying no will inconvenience people.
Eating enough, resting, lifting weights, asking for help, changing your mind, advocating for your body and wanting MORE for your life will inconvenience people.

Do it anyway.

Women are taught to be accommodating long before we’re taught to be self-advocating.

But self-care isn’t selfish. Confidence isn’t arrogance. Boundaries aren’t rude. And taking your health seriously isn’t dramatic.

You’re allowed to become the woman who no longer abandons herself just to keep everyone else comfortable.

And that’s the real glow-up🦋

SAVE this for the next time guilt tries to talk you out of choosing yourself.
SHARE it with a woman who needs this reminder.

And tell me below: which slide hit you the hardest?👇🏼 by @katostroumova
