There’s something about seeing a place for the first time with someone who’s just as curious but moves with ease @katrina.siladi Thank you for being up for every turn, every detour, and every “wait, what’s down there?
Of course we found our favorite wine bar 🍷🥂 , our nightly last stop, where we closed out every day with a glass and a debrief. Some rituals just form on their own.
I keep learning that travel isn’t only about the places you see. It’s about who you are while you’re seeing them. Left with a lot of gratitude. Grazie, Roma 🇮🇹

Roaming in Roma, Part 1
My first time in Rome, and a time was had. What amazed me most was the ease and flow of the city, and how its history isn’t tucked away in a museum. It’s right there in the streets, the fountains and the stone under your feet, thousands of years still standing in place.
We had a list, but the real magic came from letting the streets lead the way. Turning down a random alley, finding a piazza we didn’t plan on, stopping because something looked beautiful. Rome rewards the wanderers.

START DATE CHANGED TO FEBRUARY 25! Now running until March 25th.

I’m running a group as a part of my internship at Rising Lotus Counseling for farmers. We will learn to understand our responses to chronic stress and practice skills to increase stress flexibility. This group is for people at any stage of their farming career who recognize they could use support with how farming impacts health—both mental and physical. Group ran by a former farmer with 10+ years in the field.

The best part of making my best friends’ bouquets last summer and this weekend is that they were both so excited that they waved them above their heads so hard that flower petals flew absolutely everywhere and the bouquets got destroyed. And I don’t think most people do that because they think they’re so precious (and expensive) but these ladies know that joy is better than decorum.
I want to live in a world where the love feels so good and the community so supportive that we forget puritanical social rules and fuck it all up. by @katrina.siladi

I love this photo menemsha took of me a month after I was injured. I love remembering how many hours of care I have given myself since then to survive and make beautiful things. We just had a six year anniversary last week. I’m moving forward in the biggest way since then—I’ll be starting grad school to get licensed as a therapist in September! It’s really an exciting development to share, turning my job towards other types of care💫 by @katrina.siladi

Today three poems that I wrote are on @heidiroserobbins podcast, The Radiance Project. Mostly I am like “holy fuck” because her commitment to beautiful questions, wrestling out loud with old and new stories and the stars is so important to me! The writings I’ve done just live in a 60-page google doc floating in digital space but, also, always in the brain that lives all over my body. I’ve never heard someone else read them. My dad is freaking out with excitement and that’s so cute. by @katrina.siladi
