Chris Harrington, ND ‘08, ‘17, ‘26

A little over a month ago, I hopped on a train and then a plane to actually watch Chris graduate from Notre Dame - a first for me. Third times the charm. The first time (third photo) we weren’t dating yet. The second time we didn’t want to have the kids go through a long ceremony and Chris kind of is not a fan of graduations so we borrowed robes and staged a photo (second photo … our big kids as babies and Claire in my belly!).

Chris wanted to go to ND since he was four (maybe younger?). I don’t think the high school senior in London, England in December of 2003 jumping across the student center counter to hug his brother following the good news of his realized dream fully understood what a stepping stone his long sought after admission would become over the next 23 years. I’ve had a front row seat to all of the grueling hours he has had to put in for @remickleadership while also leading and loving our family of eight, working full time tirelessly, and head coaching rugby. Southern California Youth Rugby 14U Champions 🙌🏼 Waiting for the whistle to finally blow after the ball went to touch. Watching your son jump in the air with friends he’s played with for six years. Love it all. Maybe not waiting for the whistle. These boys (okay most of them are as big as men) worked timelessly all season to achieve this. Such a fun group for Chris to coach and for Ryan to play with this year. Chris poured his heart into this team. He loves them so much! The father-sons joy going through the match play by play as we watched the sun set over the Pacific while driving north on the 5 to home. Never want to forget it! Swipe for the best 14U mascot and for the best rugby sisters who enjoyed a feral day in Temecula. by @katrinaharrington
