Honored to have our Manhattan Beach project featured in Vogue Living. This was a three year build — rich with innovative architecture, creative materiality and art — a beautiful collaboration in every sense of the word.

A project like this requires so many talented partners: clients, architect, builder, landscaper, designer, photographer, and then the full constellation of artisans who bring it all to life: woodworkers, upholsterers, wallpaper hangers, decorative painters, sculptors, and more. So HUGE thank you to all who helped construct this unique, “non-beach, beach home” that will stand the test of time.

Endless thanks to @vogueliving and @rebeccatay for the beautiful feature.

Deep gratitude to our most wonderful clients and photographer @william.jess.laird who captured these moments so beautifully.

We’re so grateful to share this space and story with you.

True indoor-outdoor living.

In our Manhattan Beach project, the steel-and-glass sliders play an important role - they let the office and the guest room open completely to the courtyard. This nook is a true favorite.

One of my favorite things, is taking a neutral room and adding dimesion through wallpaper.

In our Manhattan Beach guest room the result is both subtle and layered: a fine repeating pattern that catches light differently through the day, creating texture rather than contrast.

This has to be one of my favorite transformations yet. When I was brought on to this project in Mandeville Canyon, the clients simply wanted their bathroom to beautiful, but more than anything, functional. The room was very outdated (check out the dental sink in image 4!) and the plumbing didn’t work. They gave some inspiration but welcomed us running the project. At the start, I’ll never forget my client saying , “project management was not where she felt she was being called to use her time”. Music to any designers ears and with quick design approval we landed here in record time!

Nature is just outside of the primary bath picture window and there are two beautiful ceiling skylights which flood the room with natural light and verdant views. We limewashed the ceiling, added a curved sauna with teak planks heavy in variation and wrapped the tub in stone with tons of ‘movement’. Nature is the true master of design.

Install day in our Brentwood project - the moment all the details, decisions, and ideas finally come together. It’s such a pleasure to create a family home, and ensure it’s both beautiful and cozy.
