Design LA🤍 This year’s programming felt different and especially memorable. It was incredibly creative and authentic. We attended a beautiful brunch at the home of Mexican architect, Ezequiel Farca, and interior designer, Monica Calderone. Urban Electric honored Robert Rufino with a stunning documentary celebrating his career and expertise in “street theatre.” Becky Birdwell of Design LA also presented Joel Chen with a legacy award for his iconic shop, JF Chen, one of my favorite places to source pieces in our industry. It is always a week filled with continuing education and meaningful connections, but this year felt particularly special. Perhaps because I have been in Los Angeles for seven years now and feel truly rooted in this community.

A summer soirée with dear friends and custom flower arrangements. From our morning haul at the Farmer’s Market to the final floral touches, including a cascading display for the bar and petite vases for the table to keep conversation flowing.

Always inspiring sourcing pots and terracotta planters. The spaces, the selection and even their socials.

They said Oct would be busy! These last two weeks have been incredibly thrilling. Started a fun new project, continuing progress with our existing projects, stone slab selections and reselections, birthday celebrations, new vendor art, the beginning of a pecky wood ceiling install, installing pieces from the shop in clients homes, and always pulling those materials together to ensure the palette is 👌🏽. So grateful for these opportunities for fun, growth & creativity. 🌑

Designer lunch with @schoolhouse and @peasthankyou this week. I think it was one of the best events we’ve had at the studio thus far! The perfect intimate group, meaningful convo with a temperature check on the industry. My design soul was fueled with all of the talent and strength in the space. Also gotta give it up for @peasthankyou’s Thai crudo! 🙌🏼🤤

The light on site was so pretty today. Lots of progress in Manhattan Beach…pool wall up, tile going in baths and millwork going in 🔨
