🩷 Nearly 6 miles for a little charity that makes a BIG difference! 🩷
Today we enjoyed a lovely walk around Norfolk Showground, raising money for @littlelifts_uk
The weather wasn’t exactly on our side, with plenty of rain showers along the way! 🌧️ But luckily, my boob umbrella kept me dry! Thank you @lindexuk

For anyone who doesn’t know, Little Lifts provides thoughtfully put-together boxes filled with practical, comforting and uplifting items for people going through breast cancer treatment.
This charity holds a very special place in my heart because I received one of their Little Lifts boxes when I was going through my own breast cancer journey. During such a difficult and overwhelming time, that little box brought comfort, kindness and a reminder that people cared.

Sometimes it really is the little things that make the biggest difference, and I know first-hand how much these boxes can mean to someone going through treatment.

A huge thank you to Kerri and Amy from @eufloria_drink for organising such a lovely event and bringing everyone together for such a wonderful cause. It was so lovely to finally meet Amy in person! 🥰

And a special thank you to @Poochs_treats for the treats for Wispa — he absolutely loved them! 🐶
Nearly 6 miles walked, money raised for an amazing charity, lovely people met and a very happy dog! What more could you ask for?

Another thank you yo @norfolk_foodhall for having us and letting us use your facilities.

I’m so proud to have been part of today, supporting a charity that gave me a little lift when I needed it most.

Because sometimes, the smallest things can make the biggest difference. 🩷

NATIONAL MAMMOGRAPHY DAY - 16 OCTOBER 2026
Do you know what a mammogram is, and why it’s so important?

A mammogram is a special X-ray of the breast that can detect changes, including some cancers, before they can be felt or seen. Finding breast cancer early can mean treatment is more likely to be successful.

The screening itself only takes a few minutes. Your breast is gently positioned and compressed between two plates to get clear images. It can feel uncomfortable for some people, but you can tell the mammographer if you’re worried or need support.

💕 My own reminder…
My letter has arrived, and my mammogram appointment is booked for 10th November.

Even after everything I’ve been through with breast cancer, I know how important it is to keep looking after my breast health.
Please don’t ignore your screening invitation. If you notice any unusual changes in your breasts or chest, contact your GP rather than waiting.

Breast cancer doesn’t always come with a lump, and screening isn’t perfect, but early detection matters.
If your at the age that a mammogram is offered, then please make sure you attend your appointment.

Please share this post to help spread the word. You never know who might need this reminder today.
With love,
Kat 💗

🎀 The day everything changed… February 2023.
“I never thought a routine appointment would lead to the biggest battle of my life.”
In February 2023, I was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma and invasive breast cancer involving my lymph nodes. Suddenly, my world changed, and I found myself facing a journey I had never imagined.
Seven rounds of chemotherapy. A left mastectomy and 23 lymph nodes removed. Three weeks of radiotherapy.
There were days of fear, exhaustion, tears and uncertainty. There were moments when I had to find strength I didn't know I had. And there were parts of this journey that people couldn't see.
Breast cancer changed my body, my outlook on life and the person I am today. But it also gave me a purpose I hold very close to my heart.
That's why I share my story. That's why breast cancer awareness will always be so important to me. And that's why, through my new chapter, I will continue to raise awareness, support others and remind anyone facing this journey that they are not alone.
I can't change what happened to me, but if sharing my experience encourages even one person to check their chest, seek help about a change or feel less alone, then sharing it is worth it.
🩷 Please know your normal. Check your chest. And don't ignore changes.
If you're going through breast cancer right now, I'm sending you so much love. You don't have to face it alone.
If you feel comfortable, please share this post to help spread awareness. 🩷

Today is Wave of Light Day 🕯️💖 A day to remember the precious babies who were taken too soon, and the little lives that will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Today, I remember our baby, who we sadly lost during pregnancy. Although we never got to meet you, you will always be part of our family. You will always be loved, always remembered, and forever in our hearts.
I’m working tonight, so I won’t be able to light my candle at 7pm, but I will light my light today, take a moment to reflect, and remember the little life that will always mean so much to us.
As heartbreaking as our loss was, life had another chapter waiting for us. Out of the darkness came light, and we were blessed with our beautiful Ty, he brought so much love and light into our lives.
Tonight, my thoughts are with every family remembering a precious little one. You are not alone, and your babies will never be forgotten.
Always loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.

💗 World Mental Health Day 💗

We spend so much time being strong for everyone else, but sometimes we forget to look after ourselves.

Life can be tough, and it's okay not to be okay. You don't always have to be strong, have all the answers, or face things alone.

Check in on your loved ones, be kind to yourself, and remember that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. 💕

You matter. Your feelings matter. And you are never alone. 🫶

🎀 KNOW YOUR NORMAL — IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE
Breast cancer awareness is so much more than wearing a pink ribbon. It's about knowing your body, recognising changes and speaking up when something doesn't feel right.
Three years ago, breast cancer changed my life forever. I've experienced the fear, the treatment, the surgery and the uncertainty that comes with a diagnosis.
That's why raising awareness will always be so important to me. If sharing my journey helps even one person recognise a change, seek advice or feel less alone, then it matters.
Please remember to check your chest regularly.
💕 Know what's normal for you.
💕 Look out for changes in size, shape, skin or nipples, lumps or thickening, and any unusual changes.
💕 If you notice something new or unusual, contact your GP. Don't wait for your next routine screening appointment.
Not every change means cancer, but it's always worth getting checked.
You don't need to be a certain age to be aware of your body, and breast cancer can affect men as well as women.
Please save this post as a reminder and share it with someone you love. You never know who might need to see it. 🩷
And if you're currently going through breast cancer, please know this: you are not alone. I'm still here, still raising awareness, and always hoping to offer support wherever I can.
Let's keep talking, keep checking and keep raising awareness — not just in October, but all year round.
💕 Check your chest on the 1st. Know your normal. Speak up.

What a lovely way to celebrate my birthday 🎂

A gorgeous meal at @bunxnorwich at Micawbers with my boys and Peter, lots of laughs, good food and precious time together. Best burger I have had in a long while, and the first time I have had a birthday candle in a burger, a really lovely touch from them. They made me feel very special.

Then home for birthday cake… because obviously a birthday isn't complete without cake.

Feeling very lucky, very loved and very grateful to be 53.

Here's to another year of life, love, laughter and making memories.

53… let's see what this next chapter brings! ❤️

Managed to get some photos with my family before we headed out for a meal tonight… and honestly, it was like pulling teeth!
Getting them to actually stand still and smile, and convincing them that yes, I really do want a photo… is apparently a major achievement!
But amongst all the complaining, the eye rolls and the “do we have to?” moments, I’m so grateful for these people.
Family isn't always perfect, and we don't always agree, but at the end of the day, family is everything.
These are the moments I want to hold onto. The silly ones, the chaotic ones, the ordinary ones… because one day, we'll look back and wish we could have them all back.
So yes, it may have been like pulling teeth to get these photos… but I'm so glad I did.
My family. My people. My everything.

✨ 53 YEARS OLD TODAY ✨
Well… here I am. 53, what a privilege.
And when I look back at the girl I was, the woman I am today, and everything that still lies ahead… I realise just how much life can change.
There’s been so much in the past 53 years.
Love, laughter, friendships, family, two amazing boys, memories I’ll treasure forever, and some incredibly difficult moments too.
I’ve learnt that life doesn’t always go the way you imagined it would.
And now I'm entering 53 with a very different mindset.
I'm learning that I don't have to have everything figured out.
I'm learning to put myself first sometimes.
I'm learning that it's okay for chapters to end, for people to change, for dreams to change and for me to change.
And maybe that's why this birthday feels different.
Because I'm not just looking back at my past…
I'm looking forward to my future.
A new chapter.
New adventures.
New memories.
More laughter.
More travel.
More time with the people I love.
More moments with Wispa
More dancing maybe… even though I still definitely can't dance!
And hopefully a whole lot more living.
I don't know exactly what the future holds, but after everything I've already been through, I know I'm capable of facing whatever comes next.
So here's to 53.
To the woman I've been.
To the woman I've become.
And to the woman I'm still becoming.
I'm proud of her.
53… let's see what you've got. 🩷

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I want to remind anyone going through it right now:
You are so much more than your diagnosis.
Keep going. One day at a time.

Chemotherapy is so much more than the treatment itself.
It's the exhaustion that can hit you like a wall.
It's the nausea and the metallic taste.
It's losing your appetite.
It's watching your hair fall out and wondering who you are without it.
It's the mood swings, the fear, the isolation and the endless uncertainty.
Some days you feel strong.
Some days you don't.
And that's okay.
When I look back at photos from my chemotherapy journey, I remember how hard it was, but I also see a woman who kept putting one foot in front of the other, even when she was frightened.
Chemotherapy was hard. But so was I.
And if you're currently sitting in a chemotherapy chair, having your first treatment, your tenth treatment, or somewhere in between, I want you to know something:
You are not alone.
You don't have to be positive every day.
You don't have to be strong every day.
You just have to get through today.
One treatment. One day. One moment at a time.
Save this for a day when you need it, and send it to someone who might need to hear it too. 🩷

Cancer changed my life.
It changed my body.
It changed the way I see myself.
It changed what I worry about and what I appreciate.
But it didn't get to define the rest of it. 🩷
Three years ago, I was facing a diagnosis, chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy and a future that suddenly looked very different from the one I'd imagined.
Today, I'm still here.
I'm still laughing.
I'm still making memories.
I'm still planning adventures.
I'm still finding myself.
I'm still learning who I am in this new chapter.
And yes, I still have difficult days.
Days when cancer feels very close.
But I've also learnt that life doesn't stop when cancer enters it.
Sometimes you have to rebuild your life differently.
Sometimes you have to find a new version of yourself.
And sometimes that new version is stronger than you ever imagined. 💗
Cancer is part of my story.
It isn't the whole story.
This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I want to remind anyone going through it right now:
You are so much more than your diagnosis.
Keep going. One day at a time.

"Breast cancer awareness is why I started speaking out.
But showing people there is life beyond cancer is why I keep going." 🎀

You are not alone.
