For @hiriba.e , arrival is a moment of becoming, a place from which something new can begin.

This Saturday, he shares his interpretation of Arrival through a playlist shaped by rhythm, African jazz, spirituality, movement and the music passed down to him by his father.

He wears his ALAMA marked with Time, Beginnings and Celebration.

“I believe my past has shaped me into the new man that I am today, and I’m celebrating his arrival.”

Arrival by Hiribae
Available Saturday, 5 September.

Details on how to listen will be shared Friday

KATUSH enters the home.

The ALAMA Table and Bench mark the beginning of Katush Homeware, extending our language of form, material and memory into the spaces we gather.

The set draws from a mask by the Bwa or Bobo Nienege of Burkina Faso. Originally formed in wood and pigment, its geometric language is reinterpreted here in mango wood, kaolin clay and black stain.

Made in Nairobi in collaboration with local makers, each piece carries the hand and character of its making.

We arrive carrying something.

A name.
A memory.
An object kept.
A story passed from one hand to another.

Some things we inherit.
Others we choose to carry forward.

This season, KATUSH considers the things that bring us home, and the things we leave behind for those who come after us.

KINSHIP

“Kinship has been my saving grace.
The steady presence of those who see me, who sit with me, who do not rush my becoming.
In them I am reminded that survival is not a solitary act.” ~@nyamuochgirwath

TIME

“Time has softened me. Or maybe it has revealed me. It has stretched me between continents, between versions of myself. I am learning that time is not something to outrun, but something to meet with patience.” ~ @nyamuochgirwath

FEAR

“Fear walks beside me now, not as an enemy, but as a witness. It reminds me of what I have carried — grief, responsibility, the fragile weight of building a life while learning to breathe again. I do not silence it. I listen, hold it, and move anyway.” - @nyamuochgirwath
