the summer you guys kept us flowering . the last big weekend is coming up for the season and there is overwhelming gratitude for the trust bestowed on us to translate deep emotions through the language of flowers. we jet off for an international wedding in a couple of weeks and we can’t believe how far we’ve come . call us master of all floral styles because apparently we can’t niche down . thank you to everyone that has supported us the last 5 years . and for the non believers , it’s only a matter of time before you jump on this wagon . It’s going to be a very long very sweet very beautiful journey 🪷 by @kauranoop

in an effort to explore Sikh sovereignty, both historically and within a contemporary framework , we asked the exhibition’s audience to write a letter as if they held the power of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, one of the most formidable leaders of the Indus Valley and beyond. the audience had the opportunity to seal their letter using a replica Ranjit Singh’s wax seal.

fun fact: Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s illiteracy was the reason why he used a ring to seal and stamp anything that required his authentication and approval. The original ring (one of many I think) is currently a part of the Kapany Collection.

Ranjit Singh faced many limitations and barriers but accomplished the impossible anyways. how would you exercise that spirit of sovereignty ?

will be sharing some of the submissions soon!

@harmannaaree and I were commissioned to produce three installations for the annual exhibition at @visitpama

re: the spirit of Sikh sovereignty

photo 2 and 3:

Resolutions 2, 7, 10, 12
Anoop Kaur and Harman Naaree, 2026
mixed media (silk organza, wooden dowels, grommets, acrylic paper, thread, ink)

This piece layers the first handwritten copy of the Anandpur Sahib Resolution, penned by Sardar Kapur Singh, over images of contemporary Punjab. Sections 2, 7, 10, and 12, which address land and riparian rights, are brought into dialogue with recurring struggles around water, sovereignty, and agrarian justice. Floods, the farmers’ protests, the SYL dispute, and contemporary political voices reveal how these demands have remained urgent, visible, and unresolved across generations.

Photographs of the farmer’s protest captured 2020-2021 by Hark1ran (@hark1karan )from his book, ‘Kissan’

20 Million Acres
Anoop Kaur and Harman Naaree, 2026
Wheat, brick, sand, fabric, metal, iron, thread

3.75 ft x 3.75 ft

This floor based installation reflects on Banda Singh Bahadur’s agrarian revolution following the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh’s younger sons. In response, Banda vowed to destroy the city of Sirhind, brick by brick, overthrowing its feudal rule and reclaiming land in the name of righteousness. It is estimated that over 20 million acres were redistributed under his leadership. A mound of broken bricks, wheat, and the Sikh flag together mark land, justice, and sovereignty as deeply intertwined.

Sarkar-e-Khalsa
Anoop Kaur and Harman Naaree, 2026
mixed media (wax)

This interactive installation invites visitors to write letters as if they were Maharaja Ranjit Singh, using a replica seal modeled after his historic signet ring. Set as a ruler’s desk, the work focuses on highlighting written word as an act of sovereignty, through orders, treaties, and correspondence that shaped the land, diplomacy, defence, and religious freedom. By sealing their letters, visitors are invited to reflect on authority, responsibility, and how agency and sovereignty in one’s own life depend on how they are exercised and pursued. taken in Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) by @kauranoop

Had so much fun architecting this beautiful evening, from the tableaus on the table, featuring heliconia hyacinth pincushion and very special Japanese orchid, softened and held by slate rock, volcanic salt, and shards of Himalayan salt as well as a special nod to our origins wrought iron (Sarb-Loh) vessels.

This installation featured custom fabric covers, a reimagination of the ghost chairs draped over with various deep red, brown and charcoal silk organza custom covers. The variants reflecting natures bespoke tendencies.

The light installation made of two custom panels of fabric on 8ft stretchers provided a veil of red light bringing the whole table to a recognizable intimacy.

This evening came together, as an ode to and in reflection of ‘On Earthing and Petrichor’ an exhibition that reflects the zeitgeist today and provides a haven to those that dream of a high-trust society that lives in tandem with nature.
