23 September 2024, the day I landed in France 🇫🇷
A day that quietly changed my life.When I left home, everyone saw it as a big opportunity. A dream, a new life. I smiled and tried to be brave, but inside I was scared. I was leaving my family, my home, and everything that made me feel safe.

I came to a country where I didn’t even speak the language. Even the smallest things felt difficult at the beginning. Talking to people, understanding what they were saying, asking for help.But the hardest part was the loneliness.Coming back to a quiet room after a long day.Eating alone.Missing my family in ways I can’t even explain.Missing the noise of home, the comfort, my mother’s food, the feeling of belonging somewhere.There were moments I had to do work I would have never imagined doing in my home country. Life humbles you in different ways when you are far away from everything familiar. You learn to survive. You learn to adapt.

And the truth is, I wasn’t perfect in this journey either. I made mistakes. Some decisions I wish I had taken differently. But that’s also part of life. Every mistake taught me something. Every experience shaped me a little more.Because the reality is anyone can change at any moment. Life, distance, struggles, they slowly change the person you are.There were also painful moments. I trusted people who disappointed me. I faced betrayals that hurt deeply, especially when you are already far away from home.There were many nights when everything felt heavy. Nights when I felt like I had no one to talk to, no one who really understood what I was going through.And honestly, in those moments the only place I found peace was in God and in prayer. When everything felt confusing, when my heart felt tired, when I didn’t know what to do next.. I prayed. Sometimes with words, sometimes just with tears. Somehow those prayers gave me the strength to wake up the next day and keep going.
Step by step… I kept moving forward.
And today I graduated. 🎓This degree is not just about education. It carries every sacrifice, every lonely night, every mistake, every lesson, every silent prayer, and every bit of strength I had to build inside myself.

Can’t believe it’s already been a year since I came to France. I still remember landing here with so much excitement, hope, and dreams in my heart to make my family proud and build a better future.

But honestly, this journey hasn’t been easy. France didn’t give me the happiness I expected,it gave me challenges that tested my strength. The language barrier made me feel left out so many times, there were endless sleepless nights, juggling part-time jobs with college, and moments where I felt completely lost.

Still, I didn’t quit. Even when I wanted to give up, something inside me kept pushing forward. And by God’s grace, I’m still here, surviving, learning, and becoming stronger day by day.✨

Of course, it hasn’t all been struggles. Along the way I’ve been blessed with kind French people, amazing friends who became like family, and countless small wins that reminded me why I started this journey.

But deep down, I miss home a lot. I miss my parents, my brother, the warmth of family, and of course the comfort of home-cooked food. Those are the things that give me strength even when I’m far away.

Today I just want to celebrate not just one year in France, but also the moments I thought I couldn’t handle,but did.Thank you Jesus for all the blessings and for the days ahead, I don’t pray for an easy life or instant success.
