This story is very close to my heart because it was written by my father @nellooliraj after years of deeply understanding the emotional reality of Alzheimer’s and the people who live through it every day.

Mom and I went to watch my dad' movie @september21film today… and she was hilarious as always ❤️

I absolutely loved the film. What amazes me most is that my dad, @rajnellooli, trusted a 22-year-old director, @karen_kshitisuvarna, to tell such a mature and emotional story. He spent 2 years writing it, researching endlessly, and making sure every detail felt real — even verifying facts with Anand Uncle (neurologist) and Dr. John (psychiatrist). Well it paid off .. the movie premiered at @cannes.2026

The film beautifully captures what Alzheimer’s really feels like… time slowing down, memories fading, and the quiet heartbreak of watching someone you love slowly forget. But it also shows the patience, love and small moments of joy that caregivers hold onto every single day.

In a world where dementia is affecting more people — and at younger ages — films like this truly matter.

What an incredible multisensory experience it was at @almostgods at @thedhanmill ! @hrnambiar showing his new collection of works. Some of his new works were 3d and intriguing, drawing you in. Then to add to this he collaborated with dj @adhiwave and created music inspired by his art. To top it all his works were converted to light and beamed to the music rythmically. So his light beams of his works danced on you while you danced to the music he co-created with the dj.

Absolutely magical.

My phone died and didnt let me do justice.. all the same here we go..

To my bestie, my soul sister, my ride-or-die
We laugh till we wheeze, then laugh some more — why?
From vodka shots to tequila schemes,
We’ve lived ten lives, chased reckless dreams.

You let me be me (most of the time),
Even when my chaos ruins your perfectly planned rhyme.
You roll your eyes, I steal your fries,
We fight like toddlers, then harmonize.

We've survived bad hair, break ups, and tragic brunches,
Sent voice notes at 2 AM
Grown-ish? Maybe. Mature Debatable.
But the loyalty? Unshakable. Unbreakable.

Thanks for the pep talks, the “WTF” looks,
For decoding my drama like mysterious books.
For our secret codes, Srilankan fall and midnight "need to find noodles" walks,
And calling my bluff in all our deep talks.

Through every plot twist and every dumb plan,

What an incredible evening with these two ageless beauties of mine Priya and Vinita from School and their little ones. They wanted to surprise me by taking me to @dintaifunguk ... but a little birdie @shivani_kariappa let me in on it. With all the delays on the tube we all got there and laughed and had the most amazing time. A dimsum dream with the most chivilrous little boys I have met and the most elegant little ladies. So naughty, well behaved, kind and happy most of all .... amazing. Well done Vinita and Priya! Then Vinita made us digest our dinner by making us walk for an hour looking for @udderliciousldn icecream. It was worth it! The cookie dough icecream was yummalicious. After consuming much of the divine bovine waist expanders, we felt guiltless joy. At our age this is an amazing feeling.... As all good things must come to an end , all giggles and happiness we boarded our ride and said good goodbye as our stops arrived.... I hope we have many more amazing times like these, from dancing to La Bamba as 9 year olds to having dinner with our nine year + kids and so much more....

"Le Pakshi," Lord Rama said to Jatayu when he saw him, as the magnificent bird had waited there injured and bleeding awaiting his arrival. This is why this place is called Lepakshi and the temple is dedicated to lord Shiva and other deities from the Ramayana.
Lepakshi is also the name of the Govt Handicraft shop of old Andhra Pradesh. We didnt see any handicraft there though. Thank god because Priya, bestie from school is a shopoholic. Anyway, Lepakshi is a couple of hours by car from Bangalore. This is a must see location. The roof and walls are adorned with stunning sculptures of dancing apsaras and exquisite kalamkari frescos depicting gods. The floating pillar, the stories and ancientness mesmerised us into wandering wonderstruck in the scorching heat blissfully. The added benefit of some hop skip and jump for aerobic excercise and our feet getting some super hot accupressure therapy was a benefit....
Ofcourse Priya and I chose to go on the hottest day in Bangalore ever... in a strange way it was good. We had the temple almost all to ourselves. Lepakshi temple is not to be missed. Its enchanting and we ended up laughing taking pics and dancing and immersing ourselves in the space and imagining its mysteries and histories... We frolicked, laughed and tried to be instagood.... super fun.
We took the "scenic route" back. We crossed lakes after lakes and stone hills. The desolate roads finally lead us to beautiful vinyards and farms and finally back onto the main road. Thanks Priya for being really shit at reading google maps!!!!
