Area III Leadership Camp !!!

Area 3 you did NOT disappoint ! The time we had was a time I’ll never forget. You brought energy, laughter, and the best memories. We truly lived this camp up. Thank you for all of the connections we made and for making this last leadership camp the best it could’ve possibly been. Can’t wait to see you all again hopefully sooner than later ! Don’t forget to keep cooking up those connections !!

It’s hard to truly describe the feelings I felt throughout this camp. I had the honor of making so many new connections as well as rekindling and embracing old ones. Seeing those members and advisors who truly started to make my place of serenity what it was brought so much joy, peace, and clarity. Area 1 & 2 Leadership Camp was one of the many things that made me realize I made the right choice for my future and picked the right place to embrace my passion. Being back and seeing that same passion in others brought a light and warmth to my heart. Area 1 & 2, thank you for all that you have done for me. Though this may be my last leadership camp with you all, you made it one to remember. Continue to grow, continue to shine, and continue to enlighten. #enlightenlaffa #laffa #home by @kay.skyyy

If you would have told the freshman girl who joined FFA “just cause” one day she would stand on a stage, and hear her name called as a Louisiana FFA State Officer, she never would have believed you. This journey has been anything but easy. It has been filled with moments of uncertainty, sacrifices, long drives, difficult conversations, setbacks, and countless opportunities to grow. There were moments when the path ahead felt unclear, when the weight of the journey seemed heavy, and when I questioned whether I was capable of becoming the leader I hoped to be. But today, I can confidently say that every challenge, every lesson, and every step along the way was worth it.
When I look back, one of the greatest blessings of this journey has been the people who walked beside me. Time and time again, God placed individuals in my life who encouraged me, challenged me, and reminded me that I was capable of more than I could see in myself. Reminding me of my “why”. Louisiana FFA you are my “why”. You have helped me comprehend that a home is so much more four walls and a roof. A home is where you are challenged, where you are loved, where you are understood, and where you are encouraged to become the best version of yourself. Louisiana FFA you have been that home for me. You have given me harmony in moments of chaos, understanding in moments of doubt, peace in moments of uncertainty, and a sense of belonging that words can hardly describe.
This opportunity is not simply an accomplishment or a title. It is a responsibility. It is a calling. It is a path. It is a reason. Louisiana FFA, thank you for helping me find my light. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for showing me that leadership is not about recognition, it is about service. As I begin this year of service my heart is full of gratitude, and I cannot wait to pour into you as members just like you have poured so much into me. This is more than a dream fulfilled. I’ve never truly understood the concept of home not being a place with four walls and a roof, but a feeling of comfort, love, and compassion. This past weekend I was shown the true meaning of home. I now realize that I have found a home within these individuals; within Louisiana FFA. I have found not just new friends, but a new family to call my own. Every officer I meet or reconnected with this weekend,state or area, opened my eyes to a different aspect of love within a home. James Baldwin once said, “Love takes off the masks we fear we cannot live without and know we cannot live within.” This organization has brought me the type of love that allows me to take off the mask and stop living within it, FFA has allowed me to show up for not only myself, but others around me who may need me most.
