Venus in Fur’s opening weekend was nothing short of magical. And I have so much gratitude in my heart for everyone who came out to see it. Family, friends I consider family, people from all the way out as far as Hamilton all coming to celebrate theatre, to support me, and to see this wonderful production.

I couldn’t ask for a better man to share the stage with than @obvious_john nor a better director to lead us than @lisajoydixon

To all of the creatives, the set builders, the stage hands, theatre could never be what it is without you. Thank you for your time and effort.

This play is as challenging as it is rewarding. It’s easily the hardest I’ve worked in my entire theatrical career. And there are still two weekends left! Honestly, I’d play Vanda forever. But theatre is ever ephemeral. Don’t miss this one, friends.

With love and gratitude,
Carissa by @kayecarissa

This has been the most challenging role I’ve ever played, alongside the immensely talented @obvious_john under the skillful direction of @lisajoydixon

I’ve never felt so empowered, so intellectually stimulated, so fully engulfed in a performance like this in a long time, if ever.

And it’s going to be a brilliant show, to boot. (Pun intended)

Seriously folks, I wouldn’t miss this one.

🎭 Tonight is opening night for Norm Foster’s “Opening Night” (who’s on first? LOL) & I made this fun little video highlighting some of the silly insults we sling at each other throughout the show!

How many of them will you catch when you come see us perform?? 😉

Miley 🐾
August 2016 – September 2025

Last night, we had to say goodbye to my very best friend and familiar.

To say it was a shock would be an understatement,
To say I’m handling it well would be a lie.

Goodbye my little weirdo, there will never be anything like you, and I’m so grateful I got to call you mine while you were on this earth.

Till we meet again 💕🐾 by @kayecarissa
