We did it. And now…it’s done.
I don’t think it’s hyperbolic to say that my role in VENUS IN FUR is some of the most important stage work I’ve ever taken on. For months I lived as this beleaguered, arrogant, occasionally intelligent, unremittingly problematic character, whose personality and behaviours read like a catalogue of my own sins. It is a thrilling, terrifying role, one that I both was intimidated by and yet immediately identified with. Playing Thomas was the opportunity of a lifetime. I almost can’t believe I got to do it.
Thank you, everybody. Thanks for coming out to see us. Thanks for wishing us well. Thank you to the Peterborough Theatre Guild selection committee, who gambled on us and won. Thank you, Lisa, for your unwavering vision and your encouraging direction. Thank you Marilyn, and Ty, and Beau, and John and Cathy and Frankie and Jayne and Shelley, and to many others, whose work behind the scenes gave these characters a home.
Thank you Carissa. You’re bottled lightning. Every moment onstage with you is a privilege. I would say that if there were five more of you, you could conquer the world, but the truth is I think you’ve already got it handled. Let nothing stand in your way.
And thank you, Brittany-Ann. Thank you for fighting for me, and with me, and alongside me. For believing in me even when we don’t agree. For loving me. I love you too. Always.
❤️

Man, 2025, you’ve been full of surprises haven’t you?

Thank you to all of the people who helped My Fair Lady turn into the cult smash that I always dreamed of, I can’t believe you helped me do what I love in front of a sea of hundreds (@collinchepeka, @katexmatthews, @lilanxietee, @mayaraval__, @sebastianj_l @isaiah__smith @clavin_bake)

Thank you to the cast and crew of both 12th night and Algonquin Highway for reminding me how much I enjoyed the stage 🎭

It truly feels like a new chapter is starting, and I’m so thankful that 2025 was so full of the memories it was 💖
