June 23rd: Three cheers for Corn Pops, slack packer extraordinaire! Smugglers dad is definitely top notch for lightening or loads for 14 miles.

Obviously I'm pro slack pack but there's a lot out there that have strong emotions on it.

June 26th: Wise words were once shared with us that nobody regrets taking their time on the trail. And judging by our almost 7 months on the AT we really took that to heart. One of those factors that lead us to taking our sweet a** time was picking ALL the blubs.

But not just all the blueberries but also the blackberries, cherries, apples, and definitely our most favorite, the wine raspberries! Oh gosh those were so good.

On the trail I learned mother deers really like to party during the day and leave their children on the side of the trail for just anyone to come along and kidnap. I called CPS (animal control) on them. They assured me that it was normal and they'll be back. If you ask me, I think these fawns are going to have abandonment issues when they grow up.

We found multiple of these lovelies "hidden" right on the trail. Makes me wonder how many we missed... taken in Appalachian Trail by @kayleighdoesit

June 21st: Tis a shame I never posted this on trail. I think at this point it no longer felt weird calling myself a thru hiker.

June 4th: The day before I cried for miles. My feet hurt so bad. You would think it was the pain that was breaking me down but it was more so the frustration.

I was mad I didn't have "normal" feet that any ol shoe would be perfect for. Instead I was blessed with my no arch having, wide a**, weird toes feet. I had just gotten new shoes after spending over an hour at an outfitter and my feet hated them.

I just wanted to hike but my body was telling me no. I realize other people go through much bigger issues on trail but it still got inside my head and got me all rialed up.

The next day we decided to cut our day way short 1. Because my feet needed a break but most importantly 2. I mentally needed it. We were then rewarded with the prettiest sunset known to mankind. taken in Spy Rock by @kayleighdoesit

May 7th: Baby cows are my favorite cows. A lot of people get the Virginia Blues but I ended up loving Virginia the best. Just about every day you were walking through a pastures. The chance of cows was at its peak and.....

There were so many baby animals!
Baby cows! Baby dear! Baby horses!

May 27th: Sometimes you think its a really great idea to take a screenshot of a video to get a group picture and end up with a wonderfully blurry memory.
