Having lived in 7 states across the county between @justinphilipm and I, planning a wedding had some challenges. In order to not spend a million dollars, we decided to have an intimate wedding with just our immediate families. Since we decided to move 500,000 miles from everyone, we wanted to find a location that really showed the beauty of the PNW, which could house 15 people for several days and, most importantly, had a pool. We found that in every way at @mounttomhouse . Juli and husband were the perfect hosts and made our week/wedding the most memorable experience we could ask for. Huge thank you to @sistergoldenbridal for making my 60s/70s vibe hair and makeup perfection, @alex_dakers for the most delicious and beautiful family style dinner, @gretchenatthesassycupcake for our romatic vintage inspired #weddingcake and @nikilouisephotog for capturing one of our most favorite days we've ever had. Oh and thank you to our families for flying out to us for our special day and my little bebe sister for being the best officiant the internet could ever give me.

I remember the moment I realized that I had my trail legs. I could actually hold a conversation with @kayleighdoesit while going uphill and not die in the process.

Walk with me for 30 seconds on the #appalachiantrail pt. 2

In my time on the AT, I took short videos of where I walked every day. I haven't done anything with them until now. Part two covers the Smokies through Damascus, VA. So excited to finally share!

Week six (part one) on the #appalachiantrail - Rich Mountain to Erwin, TN

One of my favorite parts of this week was getting to see my friends Toodles and @living.in.the.wonder. Toodles was supposed to hike with us, but when he met us at the trailhead we were exhausted. He ended up taking us to Johnson City and showing us the town, where we got our favorite Holy Taco! The next day, my friend Wonder drove all the way from Virgina to meet us. I'm absolutely the luckiest person to have such amazing friends! This section was also full of amazing views and fun terrain

Week five on the #appalachiantrail

A takeaway from this section is that on trail, you just have to roll with the punches!

A power outage in the entire town of Newport, TN made for an interesting resupply, and the climb out of Standing Bear was just as uphill as I remembered it being! A momma bear and three cubs visited us at camp, and the views from Max Patch were incredible.

PSA- if you're in this video and not tagged, it's because I don't know your real name!

Week four on the #appalachiantrail

The Great Smoky Mountains. They feel like home to me. There's something about them that feels incredibly ancient and holy, I have the upmost respect for these mountains. It got down to -4 degrees with the windchill, I snapped a trekking pole, and fell more times than I could count. But I absolutely loved this stretch of trail. It's where I saw my first white blaze years ago, where I did my first shakedown for the AT, and where I fell in love with hiking. This section was beautiful and brutal, and I wouldn't have changed my time there for anything.

"One piece of advice I tried to follow was to not have too high of expectations.

That being said there was no way I was gonna walk through the Grayson Highlands without seeing a fricken pony!

Before we entered the forecast called for rain, rain, and more rain. I told Booty if I didn't see a dang pony I was gonna cry and end my thru hike then and there. Good thing that those ponies didn't give two figs about water pouring down from the heavens and I was able to complete my thru hike feeling fulfilled." 🙏🐴

The best part of the #appalachiantrail is the people.
