We’re so sorry to share that Grandad Norcy passed away on the afternoon of 7th February 2026. ‘Old Stokie’ was a legend, reknown both online and off, at the school gates and beyond - but he was also my best mate.

He took me to my first Stoke game (where I ate 4 Crunchie bars and then never went again!), but I’d always keep up with the league tables so he could catch me up over our Skype calls.

Me and all the boys spent many a weekend up Barlaston Downs with plenty of Fruit Shoots, snacks and wooden sticks, so we could play soldiers, pirates, and whatever else he could think up!

He took me with him on a dream trip to Portugal to visit his dear friend Helen and her son Martin in the Algarve, they’d tell me all about their adventures, and my late Grandma Ann.

I’ll always remember when we lived together from 2016-2019 whilst I was away at Uni, and we’d debate over the news, eat crispy bacon sarnies together and giggle until way past midnight.

He was a fierce advocate of mine, even if he didn’t 100% ‘get it’, he’d still be fighting my corner, one of his many attributes I’ll always take with me.

The most BEAUTIFUL night with the folks at the @transitcuk 2025 Gala and Awards at the London Stock Exchange.

I had the utmost pleasure of being shortlisted with Rachel, and Jay and Carla from the wonderful @primavera_wellness_space (who were the WINNERS of our category!!!)

It was so energising and revitalising being surrounded by so many trans, nonbinary and queer folk, especially those so dedicated to empowering and bettering our lives and rights in this current climate.

“Hope is not passive” was one of the quotes of the evening from the wonderful Emily Hamilton.

It’s rough for our community right now, but solidarity and uplifting the voices of those most marginalised has never been more important 💙🏳️‍⚧️ by @kayrdennis

2024 was a year for growth, change and reflection - I’m hoping to take that energy into 2025 with me.

Things you won’t see in these pictures:
-my decision to leave Trans Aid Cymru
-me having my worst year financially
-journey of prioritising my mental and physical health
-trying to juggle freelancing
-making a hell of a lot more friends

The past two weeks I’ve been lucky enough to spend time in Porter’s new space with a few lovely folks supported by @nationaltheatrewales as one of their The Cost Of Living Resident Artists. NTW awarded the Residency Artists some funding - which I then used to pilot a residency idea of my own.

The residency brought creatives together in a space with no expectation of an end product. The “In The Margins” residency aimed to provide creatives with time to exist, to be able to develop their practice, and create (network and co-work) with other artists. Folks could co-create work, or simply work on their own practice - the choice was theirs!

It’s been so lush to work with @a_imx_n, @alia_aila_milan and @pyjama_cake - and to witness their creativity and spending some time together. Thank you for coming along for the ride!

@porterscardiff donated the space in kind - and welcomed us completely into their space for three days - which was so valuable as a bunch of creatives with diverse mediums - we could use the upstairs rehearsal space, write or draw in their beautiful skylit mural space, and explore the gig space.

Porter’s has been a Cardiff institution for years - but needs your help to continue. And they’ve got some stunning stuff lined up if they can make it through the summer. The new space has so much potential - it would truly be such a blow to the Cardiff arts scene if we lost it.
