What a whirlwind!

Thank you so much for the amazing cast, crew, parents, and other supporters!

As everyone knows, it took a lot for @throughtheblindsfilm and Lost or Stolen to get this far and it was all thanks to everyone’s love, dedication, and joy.

Huge thank you to the producers Kay and Izzi who handled everything with upmost care. And what filled my heart the most was to hear that others had an amazing time too.

I feel rejuvenated from this shoot and am grateful that despite all the upheavals within the film industry, our indie spirit will still rise.

Thank you @Panavisionofficial for the Equipment Grant and believing in Through the Blinds!

And also thank you @awd_directors for not only introducing this group of directors together but also providing resources for us to thrive. Including introducing me to @scriptation which I will never go back to binders!

Thank you everyone again for collaborating with me and trusting me with my vision. Off to post-production and we’re halfway there with the entire film!

A belated post but a very heartfelt and huge THANK YOU to my amazing cast and crew on The Trip! After working to develop @throughtheblindsfilm with my fellow anthology collaborators for so long it was beyond gratifying to finish filming my segment!!!

Even with an RV breakdown, no cell service, night exteriors and a long second day every single person brought their A game and I couldn’t be prouder! I loved our vibe on set and our footage looks and sounds incredible. I’m so pumped that we really achieved the look and feel of 1976 with our period set dressing, props and hair, makeup and wardrobe!

It was super fun to have our @nyfalosangeles alum crew @heatherterz @lumendozae.mov @mert_ali_birer @ahanaclicks and James - they are all hard working, talented and great to be around!

Huge thanks to our segment producer @yuchuancao (also a NYFA alum!), our overall anthology producer @kaywritesstuff and our executive producer @lunadreambuilder for giving me the space, time and support to focus on directing. This is something we as indie filmmakers don’t always get and it was a wonderful gift.

Thanks to my wife @alana31415 and Kay’s wife Celia and daughter Mel for extra support and making it a family affair!

We had amazing HMU with @oasis_nguyen and Lydia on hair and Ruth Torres on makeup! Robert brought it with wardrobe as always.

I loved our department heads so much! @adventure_mav is so talented and poured his heart into every aspect of the art department. Working with DP @aymae was also a great gift. I love her eye, our communication and the way she manages and teaches her crew. Lu was awesome in stepping up when Aymae had to leave. I can never go wrong with @itsashleymaria on sound. Ahana shined as Gaffer and Cole rocked it as key grip! And we never would have made our ambitious days without Heather!

Hugest thanks to my actors @natalie_rousseau @jayjaywarren @armandbcfactor @clairetablizo for bringing these characters who have lived with me so long into their final forms. It was a total joy to work with each of you! Your combined talent is immense and I can’t wait to work with each of you again.
