“Stars Among Us” ✨ This painting is my take on the mysterious Sky Island Fireflies found in West Texas. They are a rare, threatened species found in the Davis Mountains. Far West Texas is vast and less traveled, so it is easy to miss many of the quiet and mysterious critters that might be right in front of you. 32x32 inches, oil on canvas. One of my paintings for @coorswesternart @younggunscolorado

In the busiest season right now sending work out and finishing up pieces for winter shows, which means painting by night and trying (🫠) to get finished paintings varnished, signed, photographed, packed and shipped by day. It is chaos in the Del Vecchio house rn!

Little bit of bts from what inspired my painting “Hidden in a Wildflower Tangle”. I still remember this moment so clearly and I felt like such an idiot for missing her right in front of me. But also felt a lot of joy and awe, and that’s why I wanted to paint it.

Blanton museum w/ kiddos to get our art fix. I love museums and having the reminder that there are so many unique creative perspectives and crafts. What a divine blessing it is to be able to observe and make and connect with the world around us 💫

This upcoming weekend is the Big Summer Show at Parsons, so here’s a look at my painting “Chamisa Overlook” (12x16inches, oil). This painting has already sold (to the cutie in the last pic! 🥰) but there are a few new pieces of mine that will be available at the show.
