THIS IS NOT EXACTLY THE FATHER’S DAY POST I WANTED TO MAKE.

My dad has lived through more hard seasons than anyone should have to carry, yet somehow he has continued to love deeply, show up, and give pieces of himself to the people around him. That is the kind of strength that doesn’t always make noise — it’s the kind you see in the way someone keeps going, keeps caring, and keeps choosing love and family.

This Father’s Day feels different as he begins one of the hardest battles he has ever faced. Chemo and radiation start this week for his cancer journey. The road ahead will be painful and challenging, but if there is one thing I know about my dad, it’s that he is a fighter. Please keep him in your hearts.

Here’s to the person who would routinely go the diner and buy breakfast for a table that looked like they needed a free meal. Your kindness, your heart, your humor, and the way you love your family have left its mark on so many.
We are standing beside you, cheering for you, and reminding you every day: you are stronger than this moment.

Where do I start.
Gavin was asked to try the long jump 3 days before this weekend. He hit 18 feet on his first practice jump. He said “is that good mom?”. Lol
…so we have a jumper now.
We got invited to the invitational this weekend with 34 other schools.
🏅 He took 4th place overall for JV and ran 3 other events (thankfully they took him out of the 4th event for the 400).
He ran 1st leg on the Varsity 4x100 relay for the first time and he crushed his handoff!
I am beyond proud
I guess we have to get used to 12 hour Saturdays cause we just got asked to two more. 🤩🥵 very excited but we were all sunburnt and exhausted! by @kchapman707
