I turned 33 this week. I am so deeply and desperately in love with being alive. We are fed this narrative that vibrancy and ambition of life slips away as you age, that possibilities narrow, responsibilities loom, seasons lose their color. I spent my twenties feeling like I was against a countdown, scrambling to squeeze it all in. Yet I couldn’t find more of the opposite to be true. As time passes, my capacity to be grateful grows, and with it, my sense of wonder. Anyway. I’ve always thought about things a bit too much. But I love you, and I’m happy to be here at the same time as you. To each chapter being (even!) better than the last 🫶🏻 by @kcous25

It’s rare that an event hits a crossroad of utterly spectacular and completely, thoroughly genuine. This, my friends, was it. The energy, the setting, the musical surprises, each tear jerker of a speech, the food, the vows, the dancing - all facets of Kimberly and Byron’s beautiful world. Thank you for sharing this country and your love with us. And also springbok shots, which I will be taking with me. I am emotionally exhausted albeit forever thankful. A year ago today, I gave a lady 50 bucks for a husky from a kill shelter in Mexico. I showed up and this feral animal was waiting for me instead (last pic). If Yote really is a coyote, his secrets safe with us. And if I was supposed to learn a lesson from this, like maybe don’t prepay for something you’ve never gotten a photo of, fat chance.
