Dre’s first 7th grade middle school game and first without dad coaching on the sideline. Dad’s emotions were high - just wanted him to play well and leave it out there for his teammates. The boys played great and came up just a little short. First game to iron out the kinks and come back next week ready . Proud of my son. #wecoming by @kdchapman39

TWELVE. |•12•| 💜 Twelve years of watching this girl grow into exactly who she is — a little shy, a little sassy, a little dramatic, and completely, unapologetically Chase.

She’s had a big year - from catching her first ever fish (see video) to stating middle school. She’s witty, clever and so funny, with the best one-liners and an eye roll that could probably be seen from across the room. 😂 But underneath all that sass is one of the sweetest, most soft-hearted girls you’ll ever meet.

She’s creative and curious, always coming up with some big, usually messy idea. One day it’s makeup, the next it’s sports, experimenting with a new recipe, making TikToks or convincing us she absolutely needs whatever the latest trend happens to be. She keeps us laughing, keeps us guessing and keeps us running.

Watching her grow into the girl she is becoming is such a gift. My wish for 12 is simple: that she stays true to herself, keeps that big heart, never loses her sense of humor, and always knows just how incredibly loved she is.

THIRTEEN. |•13•| Somehow my boy is officially a teenager. 💙
Thirteen years of watching this kid grow into exactly who he is — smart, thoughtful, quietly confident, competitive, and happiest when he’s on a court or field.

He’s becoming more independent every day and now has the biggest feet in the house, but underneath all that growing up is still the sweet boy who has always made me so proud and has given me more reasons to be grateful than he’ll ever know.

My wish for 13 is simple: that he stays happy, healthy and confident in who he is; that he knows how deeply he is loved; and that he never forgets how incredibly proud I am to be his DAD. #prouddad❤️
