Rock the Pond!

Fun to go back and have Tim & Sue show us around to see all the changes. Bonus was being able to see and say hi to Teemu and meeting a fellow PC Friar after his first game! by @kdubfisher

UTMB Kodiak 100k 2026….DNF 🫠

I was so excited and positive going into this event. I felt calm and good and thought I was doing better setting myself up and banking time. However the last mountain climb got me. Well that and maybe a couple of the emergency potty stops I had to make climbing down the side of a mountain 🤣.

When I got to the top of snow summit I had convinced myself to keep going. (You talk to yourself ALOT in an ultra). I said, “your refilling bottles, putting on another layer, putting on your headlamp @ waist lamp and gloves, grabbing food and going.”

As I walked back out to the mountain eating, it started to rain and the temperature dropped. I let a negative thought creep in and turned around. I didn’t want to go out and suffer alone. I wish I waited just a little longer because 10 minutes later 2 runners left to work together as a team. But I can’t go back, so I’m choosing to look at the positives. Gloria is my new DNF friend, I got to cheer on so many 100 miler athletes and their crew, and got to help and get to know the volunteers.

I am going to finish this event one day 🤣 but for now I will rest 🫶🏼 by @kdubfisher
