Meet Shannon Carvalho!

Shannon joined Fleet Feet Nashville’s training programs after a long break from running, and jumped back in with a big goal — the NYC Marathon!

She quickly fell in love with the group long runs and amazing community that surrounds Fleet Feet. What started as one marathon turned into a passion and she signed up for FIVE marathons in 2025. Nearly all of her training was with the Fleet Feet Nashville crew and she arrived at each start line feeling confident and ready.

Shannon’s says, “the best part of this program isn’t just seeing my own progress, it’s watching the people I run with every week achieve their goals. The energy, encouragement and inspiration from this community are unmatched. I’m truly motivated by this group at every level and around every turn.”

Whether you have a big, scary goal, or simply want to cross a marathon or half marathon off your bucket list, Fleet Feet Nashville’s training groups will get you there. Registration for our spring session opens in one week on Black Friday with the lowest price of the season. Use Shannon’s code TRAINWITHSHANNON at the link in our bio to get an additional $10 off registration.

Four looks good on you, Viv (11/2/25)

*Sorry for Party Rocking* seems to be the theme these days …

Things I hope I always remember about this age:
-how you insist on joining me for runs,
-how you run to the door when I get home and say, “I missed you, Mommy,”
-how you randomly pause just to say, “Mommy, I love you.”
-your curiosity — always asking, “What is this?”
-your steadfast “I can do it.”
-your humor — because there’s truly no one like you. You make us laugh every single day.

You push my limits (often!!), but you also make me better. Thank you for teaching me how to be a better mom. Every day, I’m just trying to keep up.

Keep dancing, keep exploring, and keep loving big. Forever my little squish. 💕

Ironman Chattanooga 2025. I’ve finished this race 5 times. The swim was fantastic and fast. 76.6 water temp made this wetsuit optional race morning and many people wore them which bars them from awards. The new bike course was brutal with three loops on Hwy 27 with wind and heat and a hairpin turn around on a downhill. The run course is always challenging. I came into this race with vertigo. My Menieres re-manifests years after dormancy making it quite challenging to finish. With pure grit I made it through. First in AG and took a slot for the Ironman world championship 2026. #iwasgoingtoretire #Ironman #ironmanworldchampionship
