our sweet boston made an early entrance, coming into the world at 36 weeks. as we spend some time in the nicu to ensure he is strong and healthy to come home, we have seen the hand of God and the true meaning of spiritual family lived out, a village surrounding our family.

dear victoria,

you are more than what I asked God for.
every day i am thankful for the wife you are today and for the person you’ve been in my life since we met.
we talked about the life we’re living since we were teenagers and to look at our sons is a constant reminder that i made the greatest decision to commit, love, and serve you.

heres the update you didn’t ask for but you’re gonna get:

Per our last post, we got married on May 24th — we are now over two months into marriage and it’s been the greatest time ever! We have learned that in marriage you will have the most fun, the most joy, and the most peace BUT it requires dying to preference, understanding, and agreement. For our family we have donned the name “Jones Dept.” because where there’s a name there’s value and you will know who we are when you hear Jones Dept.

Speaking of Jones Dept., we moved our HQ to a city we have never been before…Austin, TX! It’s been over a month living in the Lone Star Country (sorry…sTAtE) and we’ve been at a loss for words. Together we signed our first ever lease for our first ever apartment —shoutout to being space renters! Living out here is fun, unique, and definitely a transition — we miss our Charlotte family and we are excited to build our Austin one!

NOW, we didn’t move for no reason, we actually moved for a HUGE reason…..PLANTING A CHURCH!!! We packed up our life and moved to Austin, TX to help build @houseoflight.church! We are sold to the vision and purpose of this house lead by pastors @will.wilsonjr and @rebecca.j.wilson_. This family has a legacy that we are attached to and we are grateful for the spiritual leadership, guidance, and parenthood we have under our pastors.

God called us and our answer was obedience.
There are people in darkness that we want to bring into the light of Jesus Christ because the Light that our family lives in today has changed us forever. There’s nothing
like stepping into the Light!
