our sweet boston made an early entrance, coming into the world at 36 weeks. as we spend some time in the nicu to ensure he is strong and healthy to come home, we have seen the hand of God and the true meaning of spiritual family lived out, a village surrounding our family.

Last Sunday was such a special one. We held our very first baby dedications @houseoflight.church I’ve been trying to find the words all week because it meant so much.

Every family that dedicated a baby are couples my husband and I had the honor of doing premarital for and pastoring over the years. Before we ever built a church, we were committed to helping build strong families and these babies are the sweetest fruit of that. 🥹

Not only did we get to dedicate these babies, but my husband preached such a powerful message, and we got to pray over the teenagers of this house too.

One line that stuck with me:
“When we lack holy awareness, the price we pay is a young generation.”

We declared together that we won’t lose this generation. We’ll be a church that wakes people up; so we don’t have to raise them up.
