theres a lot of sick fuckery exploitation in farm & agriculture. the sick fuckery was made with slavery and so we are killing slavery.

poem about me rn :
smell like i work 60 hours a week
sweat like i run from overseers
talk like im pissed and our ppl got my sweaty back

What is JUKE JOINT : The People's Party ? ⭐️

A place built from African American Black creativity, craft, and necessity. Where working people will always be more than our labor. Music from our soul, funk, and blues. Disruption, Expression, Liberation !

Movie Screening 🎥 Before the Juke Joint connect to Black Cultural Expression and see what life was like from the 1880s -1950s for the Hayti community a.k.a. Black Wall Street. This is when we started JUKE JOINTS and why we still need Hayti now!

Why this song "Love Thy Neighbour"? "Few artists have been more crucial to the invention, development, and popularization of Afro-pop than Orlando Julius... The record's dramatic, highly melodic incorporation of soul, pop, and funk was very much ahead of its time, and some say that Super Afro Soul helped shape the funk movement that swept over the United States in subsequent years." Bull City ⭐️ I'm still new here what's somn i should know?

JUKE JOINT : The People's Party Thursday October 16th at the Durham Armory is exactly what the name says a JUKE JOINT ⭐️ this is the main event.

I'm told We had the first predominantly Black labor union here. At the local tobacco factory we then had the largest single African American labor union of 10k+ people and one of the first major labor movements in the south - the reason working people got just living conditions is because of African American labor ! connect with unions like @ue150union to be a part of this history and come to the Negro Durham Marches On Screening @nuestrobarrio_liberationcafe

Check out the Partiful Event Page (link in bio) for all the Ticket Details.
