this quote made me think about admiration.

earlier today i was talking about how important it is in relationships to not just love someone, but to admire them too.

to admire someone is to stay curious about who they are beyond you. to notice the things that make them them… their drive, their creativity, their way of moving through the world. it keeps you in awe of the person, rather than just attached to how they make you feel.

maybe the same is true for ourselves.

in order to love ourselves, we have to become someone we admire.
