Adding Rubber Bands to Passion Twists 🧶
•
This is the first time I’ve experimented with rubber bands and hair extensions. I think I was more nervous about cutting my own hair than I was about cutting the extensions, but it actually turned out super cute and I can’t believe I’ve not done it sooner!
•
I installed the twists first, then the elastics, then snipped the hair. I can’t wait to rock this short look again!

Do you play around with the length of your protective styles or are you team Rapunzel all the way?

Dear You, yes YOU!

Remember when you thought you couldn’t?

When you thought you had to rely on others in order to achieve levels of greatness?

Well, this is your reminder that you are capable of absolutely anything when you combine; patience + persistence + power.

Whether that’s stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new or setting yourself boundaries that allow you to put yourself first.

YOU ARE A SUPERHERO! In fact YOU, are the only you & THAT is your greatest super power!

Love & Light, Khadija

Texture Talks is over, I hope you enjoyed it too.
There have been highs and lows along this road, but the important part was you.

You listened and learned, you showed care, you were concerned, for the scalps and minds of many who’ve been burned.

You engaged, you were connected, all I hoped for, we created, was a safe space, to be open & reflective.
To take time to unpack a subject that has been certainly been neglected.

6 months later all I feel is gratitude, there wasn’t too much sass or even attitude,
and we’ve raised awareness that, this is, a subject of great magnitude.

To all the guests that were present, I’ll be forever grateful you were so pleasant.
You’ve paved the way for those still young & adolescent. You took at seat at my table and for that I am wholeheartedly grateful.
I hope being brave, vocal and heard wasn’t too painful.

So what do I ask of you now?
Well, it’s time to question not why but how?
How can I change my mindset, going forward?

If you’re embracing your natural hair, keep pushing we WILL get there!
If you’re still learning about textured hair, please don’t just stop & stare,
give time, love and energy, show you care.

Thank you all so much,
I feel the love, I feel touched.
I hope you continue to learn, share and re watch what’s been discussed.

Let's play a game! ⁣
Two truths and a lie, curly edition⁣
⁣
I love getting to know curl friends! Let’s play a game of two truths and a lie to share more about each other. ⁣
⁣
To play, you share 3 things about yourself - two true statements and one false statement - and we all guess which one is the lie. Post yours with #twotruthsandaliecurly so we can see them and play together. Tagging a few curl friends here 😉⁣
⁣
Here are mine, which one is the lie?⁣
⁣
1. I’ve visited every continent - bar Antarctica🧊
2. I have a twin brother 👨🏽‍🦱
3. From age 15-18 I met celebrities and sold their autographs to help pay for my university fees
⁣
Happy Saturday Curl Friends!!⁣
