Funny Friday. Somewhere a goalkeeper coach just put his head in his hands.

Tag the keeper who would absolutely do this. by @keeperstopgk

I try goalkeeper gloves for a living and some days the job is just this.

The Reusch Attrakt AB1 Duo, Alisson Becker’s signature glove. Duo latex on the outside, Duo 3D on the inside, which is a second latex sitting against your fingers to balance cushioning against grip.

You feel every catch. You also hear it, which is half the reason this video exists.

Sizes 7 to 11 and it fits true to size. Off white and gold.

Sound on, then tell me what you make of it. by @keeperstopgk

Champions League Matchday 2. The best of what the keepers did.

Two nights, sixteen games, and the goalkeepers decided more of them than the strikers did.

Which one is top of the pile? Comment the number. by @keeperstopgk

An advanced warm up in three blocks. Shot stopping, through balls, blocking.

From distance first. Get set, get balanced, and let the shooter find their rhythm. The reps are as much for them as they are for you.

Then through balls. This one is about timing and courage, and there is no way to train it other than actually going.

Then blocking, and this is where it changes. Nothing scripted. Everything in play. Nobody tells you which save to make.

That is the whole point. Not to drill a technique, but to let the keeper choose the tool. Close down, slow down, stay in control, and save it with whatever part of your body gets there first.

Does your warm up have anything unscripted in it? by @keeperstopgk

Don’t do this. Do this.

Gloves on. Your hands take more impact in one session than the rest of the team’s take all week, and bare hands on a wet ball is how fingers get bent back.

Laces before gloves. Every keeper has stood there trying to tie a double knot with latex fingers, and every keeper has looked ridiculous doing it.

Water before you are thirsty. By the time you feel it you are already behind, and the first thing to go is your decision making, not your legs.

Three habits, none of them hard. Which one are you guilty of? by @keeperstopgk

Two One Glove pro models, same purpose, completely different hands.

The HYL SL is the tightest cut they make. Roll, negative and flat characteristics in one glove, but built for a minimalist feel. If you have long fingers and narrow palms, that is yours.

The LTX Pro Siege has the same three characteristics and a wider finger patch. More room, more traditional feel, and a bigger latex surface area meeting the ball as you move down the fingers.

Neither is better. One of them is just wrong for your hand.

Which fits yours? by @keeperstopgk

Champions League Matchday 2 🧤

Galatasaray vs Barcelona. Uğurcan Çakır in One Glove against Joan García in Rinat.

Atlético Madrid vs Manchester United. Jan Oblak in Nike against Senne Lammens in Real.

Inter vs Club Brugge. Josep Martínez in Adidas against Yann Sommer in Puma.

Six keepers, six different brands between them.

Worth watching what’s on the hands as much as what’s on the scoreboard.
