handmade baby blanket from hand painted squares for Maria’s baby shower!! 💜

For the baby shower I hosted, instead of traditional stuffy games I wanted there to be meaningful crafts. But not just crafts that would get discarded, something lasting. So, I picked out well-made natural fabrics at the store and cut squares for guests to paint.

To achieve a cohesive aesthetic look, I selected only a handful of color options that could be used. I mixed the acrylic paint with a fabric medium to ensure it would take well to the fabric. Afterwards, I heat-set the painted fabric to lock in the paint so the blanket will be safe in the wash.

Let me know if you want to try this and have any questions!

This was my first attempt at quilting style…and I kinda love it! It’s giving baby Ralph Lauren Tommy Hilfiger vibes

Hi there! We’re Jill + Lauren, two best friends who believe in living life to the fullest and creating along the way.

Whether we’re brainstorming business ventures, breaking down our latest invention haha, learning a new craft, or diving into healthy living tips, our minds are always buzzing, our mouths are always yapping, and our bodies are never still.

That’s why we created Kefi Collective – a place where all of our passions, projects, and interests can come together. A community space to be uniquely you.

Of course we’ll showcase what we’re up to, but we also want to use this space to shed light on other lovely humans and insights we come across!!

This page will always be evolving, just like us. In our world, the river flows in every direction.

Let’s dive into the depths of life and love together!
Welcome to Kefi Collective!
xoxo,
Jill + Lauren by @kefi__collective
