Throwback Thursday to my Senior Printmaking Project and Exhibition at George Mason University. The project features large scale collagraph prints based on musical resonance patterns created by a self-made Cladni plate. It was such a fun and daunting project. I look forward to more Printmaking explorations once my new studio is complete. Getting excited to create and to teach!

Good-Golly Master Mackie, you certainly set the world on fire with your spectacular visions of glamour, feminity, power, shine, and a celebration of form and draping. I remember as a very young girl watching excitedly each week to see what AMAZING ensemble you would present on Cher for the opening number of the Sonny & Cher Show. You brought sparkle and finesse to the world, something we are currently missing. Losing you right now is a tough loss as we need your eye, your energy, and your incredible flair. Thank you for filling my world with drama, color, draping, sparkle, and passion!!!! You are an incredible inspiration to me and to so many others.

Rest in Glorious Fabulousness!!!
Heaven just got a wonderful designer!

Who's ready for Fall?? I sure am. In defiance of our extreme weather temps, I decided to start looking forward to fall with a creative project. 🍁🍂 I used to make wreaths for our home in Virginia and I really miss it. So, I wandered over to Michael's and picked up all the makings to make a front door wreath and a spray for our porch light. I love all the rich, saturated fall colors. I'm hoping this helps move the season along!!

P.S. All the fall foliage is on sale at Michaels right now!! 😉 🍁🍂🍁💐

80 years old and going STRONG! 💛🪡🕺🏻

Many thanks to Master Pattern Maker, Franco Maselli, of the Dionysos Atelia in New York City, for a fantastic three-day workshop!

Franco has been a pattern maker for the industry for over 60 years having worked for MANY well known fashion brands, such as, Talbot's, Ann Klein, Liz Claiborne, and many, many more. He now offers his immense wisdom to up-and-coming designers by offering group workshops, as well as, one-on-one project intensives. Franco helped me learn his "rub-off" process to create a pattern from an existing garment. In the design world there is no reason to reinvent the wheel each time you create, but it's always good form to change a design to make it uniquely yours.

In this group of classes Franco helped me reimagine this vintage Italian linen blouse by making several designs adjustments to bring it to a more polished final piece. I have future plans for this simple yet elegant design!!

I cannot recommend Franco's classes enough. I'm thrilled with what I've learned and with the outcome. Franco is a absolute treasure, a budding comedian, and one FANTASTIC dancer!!!

We named him Trooper for a reason
He was abused
He was neglected.
He was disfigured.
He was abandoned.
And he got passed through several hands.

Through it all he lost one leg, but he didn't lose his bounce and joy. He loves to play. Loves to cuddle. Loves road trips. And loves to be with his family. He's survived much and still loves a ton.

He runs a hundred miles an hour and jumps as high as my head, all on three legs and boundless energy. 💛

He earned the name Trooper and I am blessed to be able to call him mine!
