Starting to feel safe in my own skin for the first time in decades. I think being in your 30s is just about returning to the girl you were at 16 and fully loving her the way she deserved to be loved back then. by @kellynkennerly

My dad passed away suddenly on the night of May 1st. Some of you may have seen my story, but I needed to put this here too, to honor him and the quiet but powerful ways he shaped who I am.

He’s the one who gave me my love of nature, and he’s the reason I ever believed in carving out my own path. He always said the land he owned wasn’t really his, it was just his turn to protect it. He wanted it to stay wild, untouched, and sacred. That mission is mine now.

I won’t be at the Tennessee plant show this weekend. I wish I could be, but the truth is, I don’t know what the next days, months, or years are going to look like. I’ve faced more sudden and heartbreaking loss in my 30 years than I ever imagined I could carry. And right now, I’m incredibly depressed.

But I’ll keep going. I always do. I’ve always come out on the other side.

To everyone who’s messaged or reached out: thank you. I haven’t been able to respond yet, but I’ve seen your words, and they mean more than I can say.

It’s no coincidence that I found comfort in houseplants. My dad’s love for the natural world lives on in the little green corners of my home. I’ll be back to share them with you again… I’m just not sure when. by @kellynkennerly

It’s been awhile!

I’ve neglected my personal insta after making social media my full-time job but I miss posting for the memories. I need more than 10 photos to sum up the past year and a half but these will have to do for now. 🙂 by @kellynkennerly

I found a dictionary at the flea market & had an idea 📖

Now I just have to do the tile and trim..and backsplash. This house is a never ending work of art.
